Koen van der Perk, Senior Vice President Commercial<br />

Seaway Heavy Lifting<br />

Koen van der Perk serves as a senior executive for Seaway Heavy Lifting, a global player in the field of offshore transportation<br />

& installation in the oil & gas, renewable energy and decommissioning sectors. Koen has a background and excellence in<br />

commercial contracts and business management. In 2009, he joined Seaway Heavy Lifting. He started as a contracts supervisor<br />

within the Contracts Department, and was promoted to contracts manager in 2010, manager of the Contracts Department in<br />

2011 and commercial manager in 2012. He finally became senior vice president commercial in 2013. Koen leads the sales group for Seaway<br />

Heavy Lifting, consisting of the business analyses, business development, proposals and contracts departments. Prior to working for Seaway<br />

Heavy Lifting, Koen spent five and a half years at Heerema Marine Contractors, where he served as a contracts manager for an EPIC project, as<br />

well as a contracts engineer within the legal department.<br />

Philippe Perreau, 60, holds a Master of nuclear physics and an engineering industrial diploma from the University Paris-Sud<br />

Orsay.<br />

He joined IFP in 1982 as research engineer in the Drilling Division where he participated in various projects. In 1990, he joined IFP office<br />

in Singapore as Head of upstream industrial development. In 1992, he returned to the drilling Division, where he was in charge of project<br />

“Retrieving data during drilling”. In 1998, he was Deputy Commissioner General of CEP & M (Committee of Petroleum and Marine Studies). In<br />

2007, he was appointed<br />

Director of IFP SME’s Relations Division. In 2006 and 2007, Philippe Perreau was also Chairman of the French section of SPE (Society of<br />

Petroleum Engineers).<br />

Geoff Proud, Consultant (5+ Year Advisory Board Member)<br />

Over 30 years experience in the subsea sector of the oil business from Operator & Service Company sides of the fence.<br />

Presently advising SME’s on strategy to meet the current market & to maximise overseas investment opportunities. Recently<br />

assigned to Vietnam’s first deepwater development for Talisman Energy, as the Top Tensioned Ris-er, Tree & Wellhead Delivery<br />

Manager. The field utilises a TLWP, the first for Vietnam producing to a FPSO tied back to existing infra structure. Previously with<br />

EON the German power conglomerate since they entered the North Sea as an Operator following their acquisition of Caledonia<br />

Oil & Gas. On the service side worked with Halliburton & Global Marine Integrated Services on the new millennium era fashionable integrated<br />

service contracts before moving to Expro to complete the conceptual work for the AX-IS deepwater intervention system. Oil career began with<br />

Shell’s diverless UMC project from construction to installation & operation before moving to BP for its West of Shet-land forerunner DISPS.<br />

Mike Read, President<br />

Teledyne Oil & Gas<br />

Mike Read is the President of Teledyne Marine, a group of 23 product brands and the President of Teledyne Oil & Gas, a division<br />

of Teledyne Technologies, a group he formed six years ago.<br />

Prior to this, Mr. Read was President and CEO of Ocean Design Inc. (ODI), until the successful acquisition by Teledyne in 2009.<br />

For the previous twenty years, Mr. Read worked for the Raychem Corporation and ultimately served as the Director of Research<br />

and Development of the Telecommunications and Power Division.<br />

Mr. Read has a High Honors degree in Chemistry and Polymer Engineering, holds five patents in product design and has completed executive<br />

education programs at the Harvard Business School and Insead Business School in France.<br />

Mr. Read serves on the Board of Directors of PESA, Deepwater Europe and Team Volusia, CEO Alliance of Daytona Beach and the Executive<br />

Advisory Board of Florida Atlantic University.<br />

Ken Richardson, Executive Vice President of Energy Project Development (5+ Year Advisory Board Member)<br />

ABS<br />

Vice President Energy Project Development Kenneth Richardson has been with ABS since 1982. Over his 30-year career, he has<br />

held a range of engineering and management positions within ABS and ABS Group and has been active in industry associations,<br />

including the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He earned his BS in<br />

Mechanical Engineering and MS in Ocean Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, and attended the<br />

Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School.<br />
