Douglas Stroud, Senior Vice-President, Global Commercial (Advisory Board Member)<br />

Canyon Offshore<br />

Mr. Stroud is Senior Vice-President, Global Commercial for Canyon Offshore, Inc., a Helix ESG subsidiary (NYSE:HLX) He has worked<br />

in the offshore industry since 1976 in a variety of roles including Operations, Sales and Management. He is currently responsible<br />

for managing all Commercial Activities and Contracting for Canyon Offshore Global Services and serves as an executive officer<br />

of the Corporation. Mr. Stroud is a “Fellow” of the Marine Technology Society (MTS), a past Board member of the Association of<br />

Diving Contractors, and has served as; the Vice-Chairman of the MTS ROV committee, a member of the MTS Manned and Unmanned Submersible<br />

Committee, National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) Technical Policy Committee and served 8 yrs. on the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC)<br />

Board of Directors, including 2 yrs. as Vice-Chairman, representing the Marine Technology Society from 2004-2012.<br />

Nicolas Tcherniguin, Group Development Manager - Business & Technology Offshore<br />

Nicolas TCHERNIGUIN is Group Development Manager in the Offshore Business Development & Technology division within the<br />

TECHNIP Corporate organization in Paris. He has a French degree of civil engineer as well as two Masters of Science degrees in<br />

structure reliability and steel construction. He joined TECHNIP in 1992, prior to holding this position, he has been successively a<br />

project engineer on offshore projects in different places such as UAE, Malaysia and South Korea and hold different responsibilities and<br />

position in the Technology Corporate division in both the Offshore and Subsea segment.<br />

Christophe T’Joen, Flow Assurance Engineer<br />

Christophe T’Joen holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ghent University in Belgium. Following his Ph.D. he worked as a<br />

post-doctoral research at the Delft University of Technology, studying the thermo-hydraulics of the supercritical water cooled nuclear<br />

reactor. He joined Shell in 2012 as part of the Multiphase Flow team in Amsterdam as a Flow Assurance Engineer. His work mainly<br />

focused on low temperature assessments and experimental studies on the Severe Slugging Loop facility looking at Smart Choke<br />

operation and multiphase flow splitting. Recent experimental work focused on heat traced piping testing together with ITP InterPipe.<br />

Moez Trabelsi, R&D Engineer<br />

Moez joined the offshore industry in late 2014 as R&D Engineer with ITP InTerpipe. He has worked on the development of multiple<br />

Pipe-in-pipe subjects such as the qualification of subsea components for Electrical Heat Traced Flowline and ageing properties of PIP<br />

for HP/HT fields. Moez holds an Engineering degree from ENSTA ParisTech, with a specialization in offshore energies.<br />

Christina Tzotzi, Flow Assurance R&D Engineer<br />

FORSYS Subsea<br />

Dr. Christina Tzotzi is a Flow Assurance R&D Engineer Working at Forsys France on R&D projects focused on proposing innovative flow<br />

assurance solutions (e.g. hydrate management, multiphase flow). She is a Project Manager for the JIP: Hydrate Plug Management<br />

using Active Heating with Exxon, Woodside and Total and responsible for new subsea developments. Previously, she has worked as<br />

Postdoctoral fellow at IFPEN working on multiphase flow models development. Christina has a Ph.D Specialization in Multiphase Flow<br />

and significant active participation and publication to scientific journals and presentations to peer-reviewed scientific conferences.<br />

Carlos Viale, Pipeline Inspection Engineer<br />

Carlos is a mechanical engineer and graduated from the “Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires” in Argentina. Carlos has worked for<br />

Repsol-YPF in Argentina for four years in the Integrity Department (onshore). He then moved to Total (in the Argentinean subsidiary)<br />

where he worked for four years in piping and pipeline engineering. He was expatriated to France where he worked for six years as a<br />

Rigid Pipeline Specialist, providing assistance to assess and solve integrity issues and giving also assistance to Projects from a design<br />

point of view, both onshore and offshore.<br />

He has taken a new assignment in Congo since January 2016, working as a Pipeline Inspection Engineer.<br />

Alberto Villar, Offshore Export Cable Lead Engineer<br />

Alberto Villar was born in Spain, in 1981. He received his engineering degree in electrical engineering from the University of the<br />

Basque Country, Spain, in 2008, and a M.Sc degree in Offshore and Ocean Technology from Cranfield University, UK, in 2014. In<br />

2008 he joined the engineering department of the EPC Contractor Global Energy Services joining in 2010 the offshore team in the<br />

transmission and distribution division of Mott MacDonald consultancy. Since 2015 he has been with Iberdrola Engineering and<br />

Construction where he is currently the Offshore Export Cable Lead Engineer. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and a<br />

former board member of the Next Generation CIGRE UK, the Council on Large Electric Systems.<br />
