Bakaitis’ first feature film, Narocsys won Best Film at the Melbourne
Underground Film Festival, 2000. His documentary, An Evening
With Mark Chopper Read was filmed in the weeks before Chopper’s
death. His current feature, Cult Girls was shot in Lithuania.

After the loss of his wife Rachel, Gus turns to the internet to
find love. He meets the perfect girl, but is she everything she
seems to be?

Laut, and his directing writing partner Jack Rintoul, have been finalists
and winners since the SSSFF began. Their film Refund (2014)
was a finalist and Alone (2015) won Best Tertiary West. Their films
have also screened and won at the Sunshine Film Festival.
SIR DANCEALOT
Animation
Sir Dancealot is the short story of a knight in King Arthur’s
times who tires of saving Damsels in Distress, preferring to
practice his two-step in a dress.

Lana Schwarcz is a puppeteer, writer, comedian and filmmaker.
She collaborated with Atalanti Films to produce Sir Dancealot.
It has played at festivals around the world. Her films The Upper
Hand and 138 Big Ones were short listed for Tropfest.
SWEET DREAMS
Short Feature
Sophia is at a conference staying overnight in a hotel on her
wedding anniversary. Her husband, Harold, surprises her and
is astonished by the hotel’s service facilities and a penguin.

Meyer has worked professionally as an Assistant Director on a wide
range of television shows. His film Senseless won the Inaugural Best
Film Setting Sun Award, along with Best Screenplay, and Best Director.
Last year, his film Last Tune won the Best Metro Award.

As Bettina prepares for her final drag performance, her friend,
Alexis prompts a rash of memories that swamp the ageing queen.

Producer Robin Queree/Victoria Mcintyre
Winner of the 2015 AFI AACTA Social Shorts Award. Robin has
acted and directed for over 50 years; several of his short films have
been entered in international festivals. Co-producer Victoria Mcintyre
has written three award-winning shorts.
