Sanilac County is home to Michigan’s only suspension<br />

footbridge. Built in 1905, the suspension footbridge is also called the<br />

“Mother-in-Law Bridge” because there is a sign stating “Be Good to<br />

Your Mother-in-Law” at one end.<br />

Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park<br />

From M-46, take M-53 north for 17 miles to Bay City-<br />

Forestville Road. Go east four miles to Germania<br />

Road, then south on Germania one mile to the<br />

State Park.<br />
