The date also happens to be World Gin<br />
Day and the distillery has actually<br />
created a special limited-release English<br />
Rose Gin in honour of the Queen.<br />
Visitors will be able to meet the distillers, enjoy<br />
free tours of the site overlooking the Silent Pool<br />
beauty spot and sample the distillery’s range<br />
of international award-winning spirits.<br />
There will be cocktails and hot food to buy while<br />
admiring the stunning Silent Pool. Visitors will also<br />
be able to taste the celebratory rose gin. The Queen,<br />
of course, being the quintessential English rose!<br />
As the sun goes down at 6pm, the distillery courtyard<br />
will be transformed into a glamorous Gala Night. The<br />
ticket-only event includes the screening of High Society,<br />
the classic 1956 musical comedy, with hot food and<br />
Silent Pool spirits. Tickets are available on line from<br />

The distillery has only been up and running for just<br />
over a year but its spirits are consistently winning<br />
international awards. Silent Pool Gin recently won Gold<br />
in the World Spirits Awards held in Austria, and Silver<br />
in both the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco<br />
and International Spirits Challenge in the UK.<br />

Awards run by Destillata in Austria was also very<br />
exciting. Silent Pool was the English upstart that<br />
upset a centuries-old Austrian tradition.<br />
The distillery created its first range of Eaux de Vie in the<br />
magical summer of 2015 when Kent orchards groaned<br />
with fruit. Tonnes of pears, quinces, apricots and<br />
plums all found themselves transformed into fabulous<br />
aromatic spirits. The quince gained maximum possible<br />
marks for flavour, closely followed by the pear – winning<br />
both spirits a Gold Medal. The apricot won Bronze.<br />
Silent Pool is getting a name for innovation, creativity<br />
and a sense of fun. It has just launched the biggest gin<br />
bottle in the world! A 9 litre mega bottle featuring the<br />
distinctive teal blue bottle with copper decorations is<br />
now for sale at Hedonism<br />
Wines, for a mere £5,000.<br />
