Interview: JC & Karl Photography (France)
Tell us something about yourself
Karl: We are 2 french photographers working together on artistic and fashion projects. JC is 30 years old and I'm
45. We live in the Normandy countryside. We met some 3 years ago after discovering through social media that
we were in fact living very close from each other.
How and when did you get into photography?
Karl: I started photography at the age of ten, with my dad's film camera, mostly with landscape photography
because I used to travel a lot with my parents.
Later on, I turn to portrait, and my coeds at university became my first models. After a long break in photography,
I went to Miami and met a former professionnal photographer from whom I learned studio lighting.
JC: I also took landscape pictures at first during school trips, and then a neighbour wanted some pictures so I
started to shoot him. Rapidly more friends came to me to have there own portrait and it became natural for me
to shoot models.
