Cover Girl Seline Jasmin Bjermeland (Norway)
Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Seline Jasmin, 21 years old from a small place
right outside Stavanger in Norway, Sola. I started modeling when I was about seventeen.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? If I could change anything
about myself, I would want to have more motivation. Sometimes I feel tired and unmotivated
when some things don't go my way. But, we all have our ups and downs. It's important
to focus on self-care and finding ways to recharge ourselves.
How did you start modeling? At first, it started with my active Instagram account, where I
received several dms from photographers who requested me to take part in photoshoots
with them. After that I found out that I liked it pretty much and took part in more photoshoots.
Later on, I signed my first modeling contract with Element models in Stavanger.
What do you think of the work as a model? I think being a model can be an exciting career!
It's all about expressing yourself through fashion and art. But it also requires hard work and
dedication. It's important to remember that being a model is not just about looks, but also
about confidence and professionalism. Sometimes it can be challenging with long hours and
high expectations.
What is your beauty regimen? Less is more, especially on my skin type. I get better results
on my skin the less products I use when it comes to skin care. Cleansing with only water,
moisturizing and sunscreen is a must. Trying to keep it simple.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I'm pretty real about
being myself. I'm not afraid to show my weird and special side around people. I rarely thrive
to be «normal». I'm sure my friends can confirm that:)
What are your plans for the future? After just finishing my military service, I am now ready
to start studying real estate. I love traveling so hopefully I'll be doing many exciting trips in
the near future!
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? I think my favorite experience in my
modeling career is when I walked my first catwalk for Kevin Murphy. I would love to do more
catwalk work.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling? Work on building your
confidence and self-esteem. It's important to believe in yourself and embrace your unique
beauty.
What do you think of the magazine? It's a fantastic platform for models and aspiring models.
They feature amazing photoshoots, interviews, and articles that provide valuable insights
into the modeling industry. It's definitely worth checking out if you're interested in the
world of modeling.
Issue 106 - May 2024 - Modellenland Magazine

Photographer Rune Sorensen (Norway)
Can you tell us a little about you? I am a 42 year old photographer and film producer. I have a very creative mind,
and I love photographing people.
How and when did you get into photography? I started in still photography 15 years ago, self taught, mainly with
commercial work. Some local brands, but also bigger brands like Nespresso. Then after 4 years I entered the movie
industry, and have now filmed and produced several TV documentaries and shorts in Norway. I never let still
photography go, even though my main occupation now is film - it is still my passion.
What does photography mean to you? My creative mind needs photography. It is my passion to work with models,
lighting and finding interesting concepts or locations. I try to avoid studio work. I love retouching and editing
images – the whole process. Working with a professional model, MUA and other crew is so fulfilling.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I mainly work with female models (sometimes
also male models), and I often tend to focus on beauty/fashion style, or cinematic themes/concepts. I like to use
the model as a character in a “scene” sometimes, ie. my concepts “Alien warrior princess”. I find basic posing in a
studio boring. I usually go for strong/tough and/or sensual mood in my images.
Where do you get inspiration from? I am not sure – most of my work I have an idea in my head before starting. I
don’t read a lot of magazines, but I guess I must be influenced by other people’s work in one way or another,
without knowing exactly what or who.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes. I never improvise.
Model: Karoline Vangen
Model: Thor Rosland
@thorrosland
Studio, on location or both? Location! Only studio if bad weather.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Professional – even though some of my fantasy art
photography are TFP projects because they where my idea and done just for fun.
What has been your most memorable session and why? The “Cyborg Viking” and “Alien princess” sessions on my
Instagram are my favorites, they where really fun and turned out just they way I wanted them.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I use Sony, but if I had to choose one of the above, I would go for Canon. Sigma art
85mm 1.4 and 35mm 1.2 are my favorites.
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer? Assuming you know how to use a camera,
running a business is a different art. It is easier to start by offering your services to the corporate world – make sure
all the design/brand agencies and modelling agencies in your area know who you are. They always have many
business clients that needs headshots of employees, pictures for websites, portfolio pictures for models, products
and so on. You only need a few agencies to have lot of work. Then slowly try going other directions if that is what you
want, like weddings, baby etc. If the corporate stuff is boring, slowly try to get your main passion take over once you
have a steady income.
What do you think of our new magazine? I never heard about it until you reach out to me. But I am so glad you did! I
love this magazine and will continue to read it. Already looking forward to the next issue.
Model/Actress Morgan S. (France)
Can you tell us a little about you? Hello , I am Morgan , 25 years old, I live in France , I studied
in the field of negotiation and customer relations with the aim of becoming a real estate
agent, currently in a commercial and advertising modeling agency in Paris and in London
since almost 3 year.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I would say , learn to accept
yourself with your complexes and make it a strength, learn to love yourself as you are, feel
good in your body, be in harmony, self-love.
@chrislangphotographe
How did you start modelling? I was spotted on social networks by a photographer, then by a
second a few weeks later, incredible, experienced, with whom I learned all the basics, I took
pleasure in expressing my creativity through photography without imagine for a moment that
it was going to become my job the following year.
What do you think of the work as a model? I love my job and it also remains my biggest
challenge, knowing how to adapt in all circumstances to the customer's request, always
wanting to do better, always going further, it is also knowing how to make yourself available,
you can very well being contacted for a job the day before or the day before for the next day,
it's all about knowing how to sell yourself to make brands want to work with you or contact
you again, it's like everything, it can be learned, and that's good, I love to learn and I always
try to improve myself.
What is your beauty regimen? I apply a tonic lotion when I wake up which I love, a fresh and
glowing complexion guaranteed, in the evening I apply a good dose of nourishing cream to
nourish my skin well while I sleep, when I wake up I have nourished and radiant skin, I took
me a long time to find my beauty routine.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? Perseverance, empathy,
fighting spirit, knowing how to follow are instinct for both professional and personal
decision-making.
What are your plans for the future? I have projects in my head, but also goals to achieve, I
have always let myself be carried by the wind and my desires by listening to my instincts, we
will see where it will take me, I have always thought that the positive attracts the positive,
have faith in attraction.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? The meetings in the profession, each
team, each project, each brand are different, the discovery of new places during my jobs, it's
very versatile and I love it.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Keeping your head on your
shoulders and telling yourself that everything can collapse overnight, knowing how to
surround yourself well, which can be a long-term challenge, that's very important, not being
afraid of your fear and try, more importantly, regrets later don't bring back lost time , if you
want to get started, get started, I talk about it in particular on my social networks, come and
follow my news on my instagram @morgan.mannequin , readers, see you soon, Morgan.
What do you think of the magazine? I wanted to thank Peter first of all, I am delighted that
he offered me this interview for Modellenland, I find it good that your magazine gives free
choice to the word and its way of expressing itself, thank you for this moment.
Photographer Manfred Baumann (Austria & L.A.)
Can you tell us a little about you? I was born in Vienna,
Austria. When I was 10 years old, my grandfather gifted me
my first camera, igniting my passion for photography. Since
then, I've been capturing moments through my lens.
Currently, I split my time between Los Angeles and Austria.
My works have been showcased in galleries and museums
worldwide.
How and when did you get into photography? My grandfather
“Franz Malecz”used to take me to the mountains of
Austria where we would photograph together. When I was
10 years old, he gifted me my first camera, a Praktica 1000n.
What does photography mean to you? Photography is the
most beautiful hobby in the world, and few are privileged
enough to call it their profession. I relive my life multiple
times through my photographs, constantly moved by the
moments captured from earlier times. In my books and
exhibitions, I give my moments infinite duration.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our
readers. Most of my work is in black and white because I
love to tell stories without revealing everything at once. In
black and white photography, much remains untold - the
color of hair, eyes, clothing, surroundings - thus requiring
the viewer to exert more effort in deciphering the stories
behind my images and allowing their own imagination to
play a part.
Where do you get inspiration from? From Life.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture?
I love the variety in photography; some things are planned,
while others are not.
Studio, on location or both? I prefer focusing more
on locatio.n
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid
professional? Professional since more than 30 years.
Nikon or Canon? Lens? I´m an Leica Ambassador .
What has been your most memorable session? In recent
years, I've had the privilege of working with nume-rous
stars, including Angelina Jolie, Olivia Newton-John, John
Malkovich, Jason Momoa, and many others. I've also had
the opportunity to photograph for prestigious events like
the Golden Globe Awards and for platforms like Netflix.
After shooting more than 200 celebrities, I no longer get
nervous in their presence. However, my first encounter with
an international star was truly special and unforgettable. It
was when the legendary Sir Roger Moore, the iconic James
Bond actor whom I admire greatly, came to me for a photoshoot.
- 42 -
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer
a new photographer? Photograph only what you
truly love. And discover the extraordinary in the
ordinary! And why not join my workshops?"
What do you think of our new magazine? "I love it
too and look forward to many exciting articles and
great photos!"
Model/Actress Nalu Odigwe (U.K.)
Can you tell us a little about you? I'm a Model, Actor, content creator and now also Author. I
created my first book with the Uptime app "How to Break into the Modelling Industry' . It's a
guide that breaks down all the key insights I've learnt over the past years in the modelling
industry. I also love travelling and discovering new cultures, people and places.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I would not change anything
about myself. I think everything about me, even my imperfections and scars are unique and
beautiful.
How did you start modelling? I grew up in a creative household, my mum was an actress so I
kinda fell into modelling at a young age, but I was scouted when I moved to London in 2016
and started modelling professionally since then.
What do you think of the work as a model? It's a really fun job that I truly enjoy doing. There
can be pressure at times but I'm used to it and have learned to love every minute of it.
What is your beauty regimen? Honestly it depends on what my skin needs. If I've been travelling
a lot or having alot of makeup on set then I have a more intense routine. But usually my
must haves: Bioeffect Cleanser and Ole Heinriksen Peptide Moisturizer and I'm good to go.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I would say my resilience
and motivation which comes from my Faith. I'm also very determined once I say I'm doing
something, I always find a way to get it done.
What are your plans for the future? An Oscar or two would be great.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? I have so many that it's difficult to pick
one, but I really love travelling for shoots in exciting locations. On the beach or climbing rocks
I'm a kid at heart so I love anything adventurous.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Like everything in Life you
never know until you try and read my book "How to Break into the Modelling Industry" available
on the Uptime App to find out more of my experiences and advice
What do you think of the magazine? I love it and thank you so much for having me here.
Photographer Hiro (Japan)
Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Hiro. I live in Kyoto,
Japan. I quit my job as a salaried worker two and a half years ago
and have been working as a freelance photographer.
How and when did you get into photography? I love to travel and
started taking photographs of landscapes on my travels. I got into
the depths of portrait photography when I photographed a friend.
What does photography mean to you? Art.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
I am a portrait photographer. I shoot with the theme of "cool,
beautiful and dramatic". I like low key expression.
Where do you get inspiration from? Photography, art, and movie.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, many
begin by creating a photographic image. From there, the model,
location, date and time are determined.
Studio, on location or both? Both.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
I am a freelance photographer.
What has been your most memorable session and why? Sunsets
are my favorite situation. No two sunsets are the same. The sunsets
at the beach are the best every time. It is always the best.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? For the last two years we have
been using Canon. However, due to the large size and weight of
Canon I decided to switch to SONY... My most favorite focal length
is 85mm.
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer?
If you are thinking about becoming independent, please
take action as soon as possible. It may be a steep road, but if you
don't take the first step, the road will never begin. Have courage!
What do you think of our new magazine? From the point of view
Makeup artist Stacey Louise Grant (U.S.A.)
Can you tell us a little about you? I’m half Australian, half English, I grew up mostly in Japan. I’ve spent most of my
life modeling but also work in nightlife/events. Im a voracious reader, foodie, love traveling and running.
How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start? I started assisting a friend in London
when I was modeling and loved it so much, I went to school and started freelancing when I moved to NY.
Where do you get your inspiration from? Mostly social media, magazines, runway shows and celeb glam.
What are some of your makeup products that you use? I love my charlotte tilbury lipstick and liner. Otherwise I
tend to rotate my products super frequently.
Who have you worked for and who would you like to work for in the future? I’d love to work for Pat McGrath or
Isamaya. Some previous clients have included: Cynthia Rowley, Gold’s Gym, Nike, Def Jam, Covergirl, Izod, Arrow,
Naturalizer, Bumble, Hearst, Root Studios, La Mer, PVH, AAP CA, Next Models, One Management, Red Models,
Buffalo London, Beauty Bakerie, Office Magazine, Twelv Magazine, The Ones 2 Watch, Wonderland, Ladygunn
Any makeup tips you'd like to share with us? Play around! Makeup is fun it doesn’t need to be stressful.
If you were not a makeup artist, what would be your dream job? I used to be a freelance writer and I loved it. If I
could be a travel writer / content creator / travel show host, something’s like, this I’d be in heaven.
What are three things every girl needs in her makeup bag? A little concealer, whatever lipstick / lip product floats
your boat, and some kind of lotion.
What are common mistakes you see women make on their makeup? Wearing makeup looks that are super dated,
you need to change it up after a while or you age yourself.
Model Stacey Louise Grant (U.S.A)
Can you tell us a little about you? I’m half Australian, half English, I grew up
mostly in Japan. I’ve spent most of my life modeling but also work in nightlife/events.
Im a voracious reader, foodie, love traveling and running.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I’m a massive
insomniac, Id love to be able to sleep a little more.
How did you start modelling? I was scouted at 13 in a mall, then went to
Tokyo and NY quite soon after.
What do you think of the work as a model? I think it varies greatly. I’ve had
wonderful and awful experiences alike over the years. I think it’s important
to know what you are hoping to gain or learn from working in the industry.
For me it was experience / travel and trying new things, and I certainly got
all of that.
What is your beauty regimen? I fake tan and try to stay out of the sun,
work out every day, and make sure to use clean products and keep my skin
hydrated
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I
have a pretty unique style and I’m a big personality. I’ve had a plethora of
interesting experiences and lived all over the world, and I’m super social. I
feel that these things are what make me unique.
What are your plans for the future? I’m not entirely sure, I like to take
every opportunity I can that comes along and just see where it leads me.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Maintain
your boundaries. Be open to new things but don’t let people push you into
changing things about yourself or doing shoots that are outside you comfort
zone.
What do you think of the magazine? I think independent community driven
publications like this are awesome and a breath of fresh air.
Photographer Pietro Piacenti (Italy)
Can you tell us a little about you? International fashion photographer specializing in advertising and commercial
photography, fashion photography, company catalogues, look books, commercial advertising photography, creative
still life, for e-commerce, industrial photography and institutional portrait.
What is photography? It is the first means of introducing yourself to your audience, who tells you about you without
distorting reality. To be a winning photo, it must achieve its purpose without being explained. Remember that
there is no second chance to make a good first impression.
I'm Pietro Piacenti and I'm a professional photographer from Rome. Born in Ambato, Ecuador, on 04/21/73
Having come to Italy at a very young age, at the tender age of 5, adopted by wonderful people, I have always dedicated
myself to the world of communication, graphics and photography. I have always liked expressing myself with
images and allowing my creativity to become real. Creativity is my watchword. I am the Art Director of Affari Visivi
Studio, a communications agency with its own photography studio and we deal with graphics, web, social media,
photography, post- production and other creatives like us, we offer many other services relating to our sector.
Active since 1998 to date, 24 years of activity. My creativity allows me to be quoted in important sector magazines
in both photography and communication.
Who is my target customer audience? All those professionals and private individuals who believe that the substance
must also be crowned with a beautiful appearance.
What attracts you most between two identical cars, one dirty and one clean? Definitely clean, this applies to the
images that you present to your audience, images of yourself, your products, your services. A beautiful image is
worth a thousand words, especially in a world where we live online, with images and social media.
EVERY IMAGE HAS ITS HISTORY, EVERY IMAGE HAS ITS SUCCESS
- 116 -

How did you get into photography? So, already during my academic period I was dealing with photography and
communication. Although I graduated with top marks in law (following the diplomatic path), I never intended
to practice, but I have always directed my work towards what were my greatest passions: graphics, photography
and computers. . Already from high school, the subjects in which I excelled were artistic ones. The legal sector,
however, was an additional tool that allowed me to better navigate my entire working career. Furthermore, knowledge
of the laws was useful in dealing with "turbulent" customers, despite myself.
What was your first camera? I was born with film. He started shooting with the Zenca Bronica ETR, the Hasselblad,
with my father who was passionate I started with Pentax and Nikon, those cameras with easier formats and
more accessible to everyone. As times and technologies evolved, I remember getting a POLAROID ONE STEP as a
gift, fascinated by those almost instantaneous photos. Then I switched to the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F707 and then
finally ended up with Canon.
How did you learn the technique? Did you start in analog? As you can read, I started with analogue with numerous
machines. The path of knowledge began in the field and was then perfected through photography courses.
It's true that passion does a lot but techniques and studies are fundamental to do this job.
How did you choose the genre of photography you usually practice? First of all out of passion, then because
that's what the market requires. Today, with the fact that they would all like to be models or photo models, they
mainly make photo books. Being specialized in fashion and commercial, I chose this path first and foremost, but I
also work on weddings and other branches of photography.
Tell us about your professional evolution. My professional evolution starts from graphics and graphic arts to lead
to photography and combine the two professions together. In fact, in addition to being a photographer, I am also a
postproducer and I would even say with some success. When other photographers ask me to post-produce their
photos I can only feel proud of the esteem others have for me and my work.
Issue 106 - May 2024 - Modellenland Magazine

Your relationships with models? I consider myself a professional and professional for the way I relate to models
and all those people who wish to be immortalized by me. It is certainly a very delicate area of work and in which
one must act with rules and above all with respect. I was impressed by all the people I collaborated with, because I
learned something from everyone and put my personal baggage aside. Then there are people with whom the
feeling was particularly intense, always professional, with whom I would work a thousand more times.
Tell us about your double exposures. Good question. I love the technical and the artistic and I think that in double
exposures the two can be blended with excellent results. I started to get passionate about it after seeing it on the
TV show True Detective. Once I start I can't help but make new ones. In fact, I hope to be able to have a solo show
in who knows which gallery. Fingers crossed. For now, the works done have been mentioned by various American
sites that deal with art.
Your most recent photographic work? My most recent photographic work is a fashion editorial together with a
wonderful team which will soon be published in various sector magazines.
What are your plans in the immediate future? Dubai awaits me in the immediate future. We are evolving and
growing with the numerous services we offer and thanks to a very important joint venture with another company
we have decided to export our work and our art to that part of the globe.
Do you think there is a future for this profession? For the profession, it certainly evolves, grows and changes. I
think there is little future for those who do not adapt to the evolution of times and technologies.
How do you use the network and how much do you actually need? I am a fervent supporter of the internet and
social media. An excellent tool, if used as such, for the work and dissemination of your advertising. My works and
clients mainly come from social media after they have seen my work.
- 118 -

What does photography mean to you? My working world and my inner world, where I can express all of myself.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I don't think I have a style because I like to create,
experiment and maybe I portray the same subject in different ways to have different styles.
Where do you get inspiration from? I find inspiration in every place, in every place, even a perfume can inspire me
on the scene I want to create.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Ever, each of my photos is studied apart from the reportage
ones, but I hardly leave the choice of my subject to chance.
Studio, on location or both? Absolutely both, each has its own precise connotation.
What has been your most memorable session and why? each session is memorable because each session has its
own particularity in which different emotions are expressed.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Canon, 85mm, 70-200. It always depends on the type of photo, I also love wide
angles as well as macros.
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
have courage and not be afraid to learn from other photographers.
What do you think of our new magazine? I really like it and find it really interesting and full of ideas.
Photographer Magdalena Bednarek (Poland) (Re-Post 2022)
Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Magdalena, and I am photographer based in Szczecin, Poland.
I specialize in female photography but I also cooperate with people from polish world of culture and entertainment
( comedians, actors, singers, writers, athletes etc.). I am an author and co-author of photo exhibitions, magazine
covers, posters. Also photography teacher who loves traveling and addicted movie watcher.
How and when did you get into photography? Since I remember I was always fascinated by beautiful photos, but I
never grabbed the camera myself. I always stood aside and helped create them. I was inventing nice and interesting
places or unique frames. I started taking photos by myself very late, few years after my studies. When I started,
I just couldn’t stop. I discovered that creation process is more enjoying than watching creation.
Finally I could catch things I really love like sunrises and sunsets. During these years my photography has evolved
and it still changing.
What does photography mean to you? I will not be unique, because I must say that photography mean a lot for
me. It takes huge part of my everyday life. Thanks photography I can learn more about myself, about other people
and whole world which around us. This is the perfect way to become more humble and tolerant. The most beautiful
thing in photography is that we all look at the same sun, but everyone see it in a different way. Photography
broadens the horizons.
Where do you get inspiration from? I know that it can sounds banal, but everything what surrounds me is an
inspiration for me. Sometimes is an movie, sometimes is a person – his/her face , character, way of dressing etc. It
can be place like an restaurant, street with special character or even a unique tree or building. Something new,
something old, structure, melody, color. Really everything.
Joanna Knasinska
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I love black and white photography. I like to
catch how lights play with shadows, show strong or delicate contrasts – depends on situation. This is not the
only kind of photography which I take, but still, my favourite. Most often natural light photography, preferably
without additional light sources. But what is the most important – photos full of emotions. I like to bring out
individual character of the person and show in on the photo. I also like to show a different, less know side of
concrete per-son. Very often I try to break the rules or do something crazy, get out of the comfort zone.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? It depends of what I want to do. If this is for example
fashion lookbook then I prefer to prepare everything before. Models, make-up, place – everything what bring
concrete effect. BUT…maybe this will not sound professional, I am this kind of person who like to work spontaneously.
Mostly I have only sketch in my head like place and clothes or only place, and later I match and draw the
remaining elements of the puzzles. So very often I improvise to received this special effect, so-called HERE AND
NOW. Everyone who work with me should be prepared for everything.
Studio, on location or both? I work a lot in a studio, which gives a more of “controlled opportunities”, and help
models and clients to feel very comfortable but I feel that still photos are not in 100% real. Of course this in
only my opinion but I think that other locations and outdoor awakens such emotions that work in the studio will
not wake up. Real joy, fear or delight.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? For the beginning it was only my hobby full of
happiness and joy. I treated photography like a springboard from everyday life. One day in my life changed
everything and photography became my profession. Firstly I was scared that it can ruined my passion for photography,
but now I can say that this passion is even stronger.
Issue 106 - May 2024 - Modellenland Magazine

Oliwia Wczesniak
What has been your most memorable session and why? Once again I won’t be original because I must say that all
my sessions are memorable. Why? Because I met new people, I discover new things and I learn something about
myself and about my work. Ever session bring emotions what is amazing. Ok, maybe I never done session during
parachute jump or rollercoaster ride but everything is still ahead of me.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I am working on Canon but I am not a member of any team – and I am not afraid to
say that, There are many very good camaras of different brands. In my opinion, good photo you can take by cell
phone – only technical aspects can limit you (but how long?). For now my fav lens are Canon 50 mm 1.4 and Sigma
art 85 mm 1.4
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
The most important thing is believe in yourself and don’t look on the others. Be focused on your plans and slowly
day by day try to reach them. Never stop learn new things and improve your skills to make them unique. Keep your
eyes and mind open and never close on anything.
What do you think of our new magazine? For sure this is a great place where people from all over the world can
share and show their work, life, passions and unique skills. A place where you can find a lot of inspiration and in
which we can feel that every one of as is a part of huge artistic family. For me is a honor to be a part of it and I
would like to thank every reader of Modellenland for taking time to read the interview and get close to my work.
Model Heidi Zulechner (Austria)
(Re-Post 2022)
Can you tell us a little about you? I was born and raised in the country, one hour away from
Vienna. I think I have the typical girl next door aditude. I love to do long walks with my dog
and just be in the nature.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I think I would change my
impatience and in this industry you need a lot of it .
Ph: Martin Höhne
Mua: Dana Höhne
How did you start modelling? I got scouted at the age of 14 in a shopping Mall from a
photograper. He asks if i wanted to do a shooting. But I did not take it serious at that time.
Some years later I applied to agencies by myself. Really professional I do it since 6 years.
What do you think of the work as a model? I have found something that I enjoy doing. I feel
like a lot of people don’t realize what an insight models have into a creative world. You learn
so much. How much work goes into a perfect picture and a woman looking the way she
looks on a magazine cover. That’s a lot of work. Constant touch ups, perfect lighting,
retouching, styling, a whole team that is there to make a woman as beautiful as possible.
What is your beauty regimen? I don´t think I have a beauty regimen. I coud tell you that I
drink a lot of water and go to bed before midnight but this is what the most of the models
would say. So no, I dont think I have a regimen.
Ph: Nico Socha
Mua: Erika Socha
What are your plans for the future? Doing this kind of job as long as possible and after that I
would like to shoot kids fashion. Besides modelling I have started shooting kids and i like it
very much. I love working with kids, that’s why I have also studied teaching for elementary
school 5 years ago.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Seeing myself on billboards and covers.
For example I always take photos of it when I see myself hanging around in stores.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Never compare yourself to
others. What is meant to happen, will happen. Be out there, be active, work hard on yourself.
Be kind and professional. I it makes you uncomfortable or unhappy it might not be right.
What do you think of the magazine? I like Modellenland for their great content. It always
shows great Models and Photographers. Thanks for having me.
S WEET PASSION
By Sonia Jiménez Cambronero
Sonia, a renowned colorist, has wanted to merge her passion for color with a more avant-garde style, presenting
us with a woman who is sweet yet self-assured, brave, empowered, and with a touch of sexiness.
The pastel tones in the hair are soft, and there's also a texture in motion, contrasting with the makeup,
which adds character to the final result.
In Sonia's own words, "this proposal is for my friend Gonzalo Zarauza, with whom I created so many colors,
shared many talks about hairdressing, and his departure left a hole in my heart. I have always admired his
most avant-garde styles, those tones, that hair architecture. This is my humble tribute to one of the best
people who has crossed my path in life."
About Sonia Jiménez Cambronero:
Renowned hairdresser and owner of a salon located in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Sonia Jiménez Cambronero is
characterized by her development of color technique, which is one of her strong points and where everyone
who has been able to enjoy her live training sessions has been amazed. She is beginning to be known as "The
Color Magician".
An tireless worker and trainer constantly on the move. She has provided training all over Spain and parts of
abroad, always with a clear objective: to bring education everywhere and ensure that the professional who
hires her grows, learns to diagnose, and achieves optimal results from day one.
Model/Actress Anna Dimitrova
(Netherlands)
Can you tell us something about you? I have a 6 year old daughter. I enjoy spending my time
with her. I also enjoy having a bite to eat or a drink with a friend every now and then. I also
do acting. Have already done some small roles and commercials and promo videos.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? If I could grow a few cm
taller I would like to, not necessarily because I like it better, but because I don't want to be
limited for modeling jobs. Because taste and perception of what is beautiful differs per
person, I have learned to love yourself as you are. Otherwise you will never be satisfied and
you will always want to change something about yourself. Or others will always have something
to complain about. You can't keep everyone happy. But the most important thing is
that everyone must respect each other whether or not someone wants to change something.
As long as you are happy with it is the most important thing.
What are your good qualities and your less good ones? The less good characteristic is that I
am almost always insecure about new/unknown things but never try to show this. In retrospect,
it's usually not that bad. A good feature is that I usually pick it up well after practicing a
few times.
How did you start as a model? After my pregnancy I felt a little insecure, then a friend suggested
a photo shoot to work on that and take some photos together. She thought that could
help. I noticed that I also really enjoyed this and wanted to do something with it more often.
What do you think of working as a model? I really enjoy the work, I enjoy seeing art with
poses in photos and fashion.
What's your beauty regimen? Day cream, green tea, salad blend mix and tomato, cucumber
and occasionally red wine.
What are your plans for the future? I hope to continue to do this and combine it with
motherhood. 8 What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Actually, I think it's important
that you have a nice day and the photographer is nice, then I always enjoy it. But
one of the best was a shoot with dresses by designer Monique Desar
What would you like to do next as a model? I would like to do a fashion show with clothes
from a nice designer.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start as a model? Yes, make a good portfolio
with variations, but also casual. Do not send lingerie photos to casting agencies unless they
specifically request it and want to see you for a specific job.
What do you think of Modelland Magazine? I'm not familiar with it, but it looked nice.
Photographer Erik Kunddahl (Denmark)
Can you tell us a little about you? In May I will be 66 years old - living in the countryside in the middle of a forest.
In my wonderful little world with my wife, our German Shepards, our cat, and horses. A little world that inspires
my visual world - which is all about creating images and making dreams come true through Images.
How and when did you get into photography? It started in school back in the 70s when I got an SLR camera as a
birthday present - A Russian Zenith camera and a darkroom set - I then took a basic graphic design course where
photography was a big part of the teaching. I started as a student at an advertising agency where I worked a lot in
the darkroom. Later I became co-owner of an advertising agency where I was the art director - For some of the
commercials I had to make it required images, but it was often difficult to find exactly what I needed as a stock
photo, so I started to create them myself. I started creating them based on my visions for the advertisement. At the
same time, I started teaching photography at night school and teaching schoolteachers the subject of photography
with all that it entails regarding technique, composition, and darkroom work.
What does photography mean to you? I practically live and breathe for photography - it's a passion for me. I could
work on it 24/7 all year around - but unfortunately, I don't have enough work yet to be financially independent. An
exciting part of photography is the social opportunities it provides. I get to meet people with different backgrounds
and needs. My horses inspired me to work for many years in equestrian sports and the industry that goes with it.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I work with editorial, fashion, portrait, and fine
art. I want a single image or series to tell a story that inspires the viewer - I spend a lot of the time post-production
to get exactly what I feel the image should contain.
Where do you get inspiration from? I see images everywhere when I'm in the city or in nature and from people
who inspire me - also from other media like photo sites, magazines, TV, and movies which all feed my ideas.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I work best when I can do a thorough preproduction. I am
very theme-oriented in my work. When I'm working on a project I do a lot of research. For me, the details are important
in the image as well as the mood that the model should express. I like to work with some of the same people
- it means a lot for the result to have good teamwork. I have a collaboration with one model, Kimmie Kjær
Tvergaard, who is an incredibly talented model. She is a strong person who knows exactly what she wants and is
fantastic sparring at a shoot! We have worked together since 2018 and have been on international assignments
together. Our collaboration has meant that we have each become more skilled in our respective areas.
Studio, on location or both? I work mostly on location but also occasionally in a studio - I don't have a studio myself,
but I rent from colleagues. It's 2 different ways of working, and that’s why I like the combination.
What has been your most memorable session and why? I did a fashion project with the theme of a historical
character, Karen Blixen - a Danish author. The idea was to create a fashion shoot that seemed like it was on the
savannah in Africa. The styling and clothing should be slightly historical – and include a beautiful horse. It all took
place in a large park just outside Copenhagen on a beautiful sunny day - a great team - The model was Kimmie Kjær
Tvergaard who is also a talented rider - a a super talented makeup artist from DM Styling and a horse owner who
has a beautiful horse. The Swedish company that supplied the clothing was thrilled.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Both. I do paid jobs, but I also like to collaborate to
extend my portfolio and challenge myself in new ways.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Nikon and my hardworking objective 24-70 mm, 2.8
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Find
your style and your own signature. And most important of all to believe in yourself, be critical, and never be 100
percent satisfied - because you can always do better the next time. So, keep pushing yourself to become the best
possible version.
What do you think of our new magazine? An inspiring magazine with a wide selection of styles and a variety of
personalities that cultivate the visual world.
Creatures Collection
The Creatures Collection is a manifestation of the beauty and originality that characterize modernism,
with direct inspiration from the iconic legacy of architect Antoni Gaudí.
Creatures is a complete aesthetic experience that invites a deep immersion into the influence of art and
architecture on contemporary hairdressing. The collection marked by uniqueness and innovation pays
tribute to Gaudí's legacy.
Using the Mixing Textures technique, which involves the reuse of natural hair, each of the 4 pieces in
the collection challenges conventions with structures that seem to defy gravity, evoking the same
audacity and fantasy of Gaudí's works.
Model Alëna Wisotzki (Israel)
Can you tell us a little about yourself? I’m Alena, born in Ukraine, grew up in Russia, and
now living in Israel. My career took me from 7 years of software development in high-tech to
hitting the gym as a fitness enthusiast, teaching swimming in open water and stepping into
the spotlight as a model. My journey through different countries and careers has been nothing
short of an adventure!
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Honestly, I’m all about embracing
who I am, warts and all. Sure, there’s always room for a little tweak here and there,
but overall, I’m happy with me!
How did you start modeling? It all kicked off right after I finished my army service—I modeled
to pay for college. That first serious photoshoot lit a spark for me, even though I wasn’t
thinking about a modeling career just yet.
What do you think of the work as a model? Modeling is a wild ride! I love the buzz of changing
up my look and the thrill of the spotlight. But let’s be real—it’s super competitive and
pushes you to always be at the top of your game.
What is your beauty regimen? I keep it simple and natural. Sunscreen is my number one
must-have. Besides that, I stick to the basics: plenty of water, clean eating, enough sleep,
and staying active. Oh, and I swear by face massages—they’re a game changer!
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I’m like a chameleon—I
can blend into any situation and get along with just about anyone. This superpower
really comes in handy in the unpredictable world of modeling.
What are your plans for the future? Life is full of surprises, but I plan to keep chasing my
passions in modeling and fitness, dive into new opportunities, and just enjoy the ride wherever
it takes me.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Winning the "Pretty Woman" beauty
contest in Eilat 2024 was epic! It wasn’t just a win; it was a moment that showed me how far
I could go.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling? Jump right in—don’t worry
about making mistakes; they’re part of the journey. Grab every chance to learn and grow,
and always aim to be your best. Keep it fun and stay true to yourself!
What do you think of the magazine? I believe the magazine is a fantastic platform that fosters
connections among professionals in the modeling industry. It's a community hub that
encourages collaboration and inspires us all to innovate and grow together. It’s wonderful to
see how it brings people together, sharing insights and celebrating the diverse talent within
the industry.
