Featured Bike of the Month

GROUND POUNDERS NEWS
April was a great month with lots of events. The month kicked off with the Tanner Jam at the H&D Roadhouse
which continued through Sunday. Then it was the Brevard Law Ride on April 9th. Ground Pounders
hosted the bike show at this event. The next weekend was the BIN run starting at the Shriners in
Melbourne. Look for coverage of all these events in this issue. Next month we’ll be another great one
as Ground Pounders celebrates three years on May 15 at the H&D Roadhouse in Merritt Island. There
will be a bikini wash, bike show, dunk tank, live music and great food. The evolution of Ground Pound
ers continues we are now offering video promotions along with other promotional packages. We will be
promoting and hosting events in the future. As we continue to grow and gain popularity I would like to
thank all of the loyal followers and readers. I would also like to thank everyone for all the comments on
the magazine. It makes all the hard work and ground pounding worthwhile. Ground Pounders will be
working with some great local modeling talent along with some great local musicians for event fund
raisers and promotions. Ground Pounders has added some new sales staff and distributors. If you
would like to join the Ground Pounders team as a model or sales or distributor contact Matt at
Well BIN RUN V is in the bag. Another year where the biker community showed support and love for the cause and to
"KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE". There was a good amount of food donations to help stock the pantry shelves and that is what
it's all about.
The weather forecast sure didn't help with the attendance. They were calling for thunderstorms all day, in reality we didn't
have any rain till later in the afternoon and those were only small showers. But as always quite a few turned out to sign up
and participate in the escorted ride. Remember, riding a motorcycle in Florida is a water sport and that was the attitude of
those that registered Sat. morning.
I had a few vendors and riders texting me and calling asking what the make up day was...Make up day??? We are bikers, not
baseball players, so we get wet, we have been before and we will be again.
Once we arrived at American Legion Post 117 the festivities began. DOC Holiday was there along with the Hit and Run band
and quite a few vendors. As always the post had a ton of food available at some really reasonable prices and of course the 2
bars were serving most any kind of beverage that you could want. There were lots of items for raffle and auction and the
50/50.
I want to thank everyone who came out and participated, whether you were in the ride or met up with us at the post. Please
remember that the BIN is a non profit organization that survives solely on donations from all of you.
There are still some shirts and patches available in case you didn't get one at the event. I personally think that this years shirt
design was outstanding, as they always are, thanks to Steve and his crew at Art-Lab. Also a big thanks to Brad Sinclair and
Viera Manor for supplying the coozies. And of course to all of you for attending and the vendors that braved the weather.
Fifth Annual BIN Run on April 16
As most of you know by now, DAVI has been arrested. She was caught in Texas where she is facing charges for crimes that
she committed there. There will be a hearing about extraditing her to Florida so she can face the ARSON charges here.
And as of April 19th they have started the restoration on the BIN to repair the damages caused by the fire that she set back
in October.....Watch facebook for the GRAND RE-OPENING of the BIN, Bikers In Need Food Pantry so you can come see
the improvements that we have been working on inside while waiting for the contractor to do their thing.
The Ranger Asisstance Foundation Fundraiser
It was a Sunday Funday at the Oasis
Bar & Grill in Cocoa. The weather was
beautiful as the band Hypersona played
outside at the Oasis. Good times
were had by all while raising money for
the Ranger Assistance Foundation.
Florida’s 29th Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion, April 21-24
The Nation’s Largest Veterans Reunion
This is one of my favorite events to
attend. This makes me proud to be an
American. It’s a chance to thank the
Veterans who served this great country
and appreciate all the freedoms we
have.
• While riding one day, alone Biker met a Farmer riding a
horse with a dog and a sheep alongside. The biker began
a conversation . . . .
• Biker: "Hey, cool dog you got there. Mind if I speak to
him?"
• Farmer: "Dogs don't talk."
• Biker: "Hey dog, how's it going?"
• Dog: "Doing' alright."
• Farmer: Look of shock.
• Biker: "Is this your owner?" pointing at the farmer.
• Dog: "Yep."
• Biker: "How does he treat you?"
• Dog: "Really well. He walks me twice a day, feeds me
great food, & takes me to the river once a week."
• Farmer: Look of total disbelief.
• Biker: "Mind if I talk to your horse?"
• Farmer: "Horses don't talk."
• Biker: "Hey horse, how's it going?"
• Horse: "Cool."
• Farmer: Extreme look of shock.
• Biker: "Is this your owner? " pointing at the Farmer.
• Horse: "Yessiree Bob."
• Biker: "How's he treating you?"
• Horse: "Pretty good, and thanks for asking. He rides me
regularly, brushes me down often, and keeps me in a shed
to protect me." (continued at top right) Page 19
It Always Ends With A Smile
• Farmer: Total look of utter amazement.
• Biker: "Mind if I talk to your sheep?"
• Farmer: "The sheep is a liar."
A snail buys a fast new car
There was once a snail who was sick and tired of his reputation
for being so slow. He decided to get some fast wheels
to make up the difference. After shopping around a while, he
decided that the Datson 240-Z was the car to get. So the
snail goes to the nearest Datsun dealer and says he wants to
buy the 240-Z, but he wants it repainted "240-S".
The dealer asks, "Why 'S'?"
The snail replies, "'S' stands for snail. I want everybody who
sees me roaring past to know who's driving."
Well, the dealer doesn't want to lose the unique opportunity
to sell a car to a snail, so he agrees to have the car repainted
for a small fee.
The snail gets his new car and spent the rest of his days
roaring happily down the highway at top speed. And whenever
anyone would see him zooming by, they'd say "Wow!
Look at that S-car go!"
