Academic Policies
The School of Nursing expects students,
faculty, and administration to adhere
to TTUHSC institutional and School
of Nursing policies and procedures in
order to enhance learning and promote
a professional environment conducive
to meeting the institutional and school
mission, vision, and values. The following
sections detail policies to support students’
academic achievement in the School of
Nursing.
ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT
An advisor is assigned to each student upon
admission to provide information about the
academic program and to assist in making
informed decisions. The advisor should also
be consulted during pre-registration, for
adding/dropping a course, and withdrawing
from the School of Nursing. However, the
student is ultimately responsible for seeking
adequate academic advice, meeting degree
requirements, and enrolling in appropriate
courses to ensure orderly and timely
progress toward the degree or certificate.
