Gemeg
Gemeg is a UK based education provider whose programmes combine the delivery of recognised qualifications with expert sports coaching.
We established Gemeg in August 2011 and initially operated from a single site in Leicester. We now deliver elite football coaching and sports science along with
BTEC and NCFE sport qualifications to the post 16 sector from four centres in the UK.
We are proud to have maintained a minimum pass rate of 95% and we are confident that the partnerships and alliances that we have forged offer Gemeg
students access to countless pathways and opportunities in the football industry.
In 2015 we decided to enter the world of Higher Education and worked with Doncaster College & University Centre to create a new BSc degree in Science and
Coaching Football. Together we have developed a degree programme which covers the full breadth of the football industry and provides students with a wide
ranging skill set and the knowledge they need for a successful career.
The programme will be delivered by the experienced staff at Doncaster College & University Centre with support from Gemeg. This three year course is the first
of its kind to be offered entirely online giving students the flexibility to study anywhere at almost any time.
We believe that this exciting course opens up degree standard education to a wide range of students, many of whom would not previously have had access to
higher eduction. For the very first time a degree covers the whole of the football industry whilst allowing young people to study in their own environment, be it
from home, at their club or from a university residence.

Course Structure
The Online BSc in Science and Coaching Football is a fully accredited three year degree course which runs from September to June in each year.

Candidates need to be 18 + and have achieved 200 UCAS points or equivalent international qualifications (as approved by UK validating bodies). For students
who do not speak English as a first language, a IELTS score of 6.6 is also required.

Residential Development Programme
Science & Football
Each day you will be given time to complete online classes, course work and assignments. You will also
undertake a minimum of 2 hours training and sport science work delivered by UEFA qualified coaches.
The programme in Doncaster provides at least one game per week and includes 10 showcase fixtures. The La Nucia
programme includes Spanish youth league and senior league games. Players will be placed with clubs that will
enable them to play at the highest level available within the regulatory requirements imposed by the Spanish FA.
Each player will receive an Individual Development Programme that incorporates the 9 attributes of the Gemeg
philosophy including one to one coaching sessions.
