This package includes 100 fresh Tangier Island oysters shipped
to you and a ½-day personal pharmacy shadow with Baylor
Rice at his pharmacy, South River Compounding in Richmond,
VA. Ideal conditions make ideal oysters. Tangier oysters grow
in the Chesapeake Bay’s open water, miles from the rivers and
tributaries of the mainland. They feed naturally in the sweet spot
of the water column on a perfect mix of nutrients and salt. The
weather and tides shape and polish this lovely, compact oyster
like a prehistoric river stone. The form is stout and the meat
tender. The flavor is gently saline with a finish that is clean and
elemental. The watermen tend and hand select each oyster and
