The IACP Foundation was<br />
established in 2003 with an<br />
ongoing mission of supporting<br />
research and education that<br />
advances the art and science<br />
of pharmacy compounding.<br />
The IACP Foundation<br />
Research Committee was<br />
formed in June 2004 and is<br />
responsible for defining the<br />
Foundation’s annual research<br />
agenda, to foster IACP<br />
Foundation’s mission by<br />
seeking and recommending<br />
research projects for funding<br />
that promote and advance<br />
pharmacy compounding.<br />
This Committee is even<br />
more important than ever<br />
before as we help document<br />
the value of customized<br />
medication services through<br />
demonstration grants, stability<br />
studies, practice-based<br />
research initiatives and more.<br />
Since 2005, IACP<br />
Foundation has awarded<br />
more than $275,000 in<br />
grants to academicians and<br />
practitioners. The IACP<br />
Foundation strongly believes<br />
pharmacy compounding<br />
research is vital to further<br />
solidifying the role of<br />
pharmacy in personalized<br />
medicine. Students are also<br />
the future of compounding<br />
with $90,000 in grants to<br />
attend educational meetings<br />
and essays.<br />
