• An inflammation of the ileum which is the
final section of the small intestine. The
inflammation may be a result of infection of
the intestinal wall.

• Abdominal pain
• Abdominal Tenderness
• Bowel Irregularity
• Weight loss
• Thickened intestinal wall

• The Constant inflammation can result in a
perforation or piercing through the intestines.
This in turn , can lead to abscess.
• Other complications may include arthritis

• There is no way of preventing ileitis , but if it is
diagnosed soon enough the progress of the
disease can be halted.

• Bed Rest
• Low fiber diet
• Medications
• Vitamins
• Antibiotics
