It was an amazing and
invigorating journey of personal
re-branding, self rediscovery and
pushing my goals and objective to
a whole new level.
Recently I came across the Business
Edge, enrolled and completed the course. The
program has been a bridge between me and
some unanswered questions in my cultural
assimilation process.
I wish to express my gratitude to Anne,
Sabina, Valerie and the professors, coaches,
organizers and previous cohort members who
participated in our cohort for the terrific job they
did. They were able to successfully make a
complex and dynamic process of navigating and
understanding the workplace culture a fun,
interesting, exciting and most importantly
achievable process. It was a complete pleasure
working with these awesome, inspiring
professionals. Tammy was an incredible coach,
her effort and hard work on my career
Human Resources Professional with
over 5 years’ experience in various
aspects of HR practice, such as full
cycle recruitment, performance
management, training and
development, among other HR
functions.
I completed my Masters in Human
Resources Management at London
Metropolitan University, London, UK and
became a graduate member of the Chartered
Institute of Personnel Development, UK some
months later. I am currently a member of
Human Resources Professional Association,
Ontario, Canada and working towards my
CHRP.
Shortly after I arrived in Canada, I found
a job in my profession, and noticed
differences in communication style and team
culture between UK and Canada workplace.
The position was a contract and when it
ended, I found myself working in a Call
Centre. I started making effort to get back
into my profession but it was a tedious
process.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and
learning with my cohort 9 classmates, a group
of smart, talented, inspiring and determined
professionals. They made a tremendous impact
on my journey to self rebranding with various
back and forth feedbacks. I want to thank my
cohort members for their encouragement,
support and I believe we will continue to be like
a family. This is the beginning of greater things
to come in our collaborations with each other.
Most of my spare time these days is spent
brushing up my French Language Proficiency.
