luggageonboard,theFigo Aspirestilpuled ahead likea<br />
dream.Inthecity,itwasquickofthemarkandatnopointdid<br />
weeverfeelthatthiscarissluggishorunderpowered.Those<br />
whoharborsuchnotionsoughttotakethiscarforaspinto<br />
reachthesameconclusionasus.<br />
2. Beingwelmanneredalwaysworks<br />
Foracarthatisdestinedtospenditslifeoncityroadswhere<br />
speedsaren’ttoohigh,itiseasyforthemanufacturertosetit<br />
upforbeterridecomfortwhichinevitablytakesawayfrom<br />
thehandling.Havingsaidthat,theFigoAspireproveditworth<br />
onbothaccounts.Extremelywelmanneredaroundtown,this<br />
litlecarcanbepusheduptothreedigitspeedwitheaseand<br />
handlesfastjauntsdownexpresswayswithequalélan.Ford<br />
hasalwayshadtheirrideandhandlingcharacteristicssorted<br />
on theircars(the Ikon,Fiesta and Mondeo have albeen<br />
creditedforthis)andit’sgoodtoseethatthey’venotlost<br />
theirtouchevenwithacarthatdestinedforthemasses.<br />

Ifyou’vebeentoGurgaonrecently,orhappentolivethereyou<br />
mustbewelawarethattheentirecityisdugup.Thereareno<br />
roadsandwhatyouhaveisaseriesofdiversionsliteredwith<br />
potholes and some random step-like transitions between<br />
lanesthatcouldpossiblyripyourexhaustof!It’sawarzone<br />
outthereanddrivingaroundthattownfeltlikewewereona<br />
missiontoMars.Amazinglywesurvivedwithoutbotoming<br />
outevenonce.Thispossiblywasthemostwelcomesurprise<br />
ofal. A carmorethanabletodealwiththediverseroad<br />
conditions thatare thrown atitis justwhatthe doctor<br />
orderedforIndiaisn’tit?.<br />
OurjourneywiththeAspireactualybeganat 1:30atnight<br />
whenwearivedfrom Puneandhadtopackinalourluggage<br />
andhaulitacrosstothefarsideofFaridabadfrom Gurgaon–<br />
adistanceofalmost35kilometers.Twolargesuitcases,two<br />
stoleys,abigdufelbag,threelaptopbagsplusthethreeof<br />
ussoundslikeatightfit,howeverwegotitalinthere!Yeah,<br />
someoftheluggagewasontheseat,butthebootmanaged<br />
toto fit the two large suitcases and one ofthe stoleys!<br />
Impressivetosaytheleast.359litresmightnotsound like<br />
much,butintherealworlditsgoodenoughforafamilyto<br />
packinenoughforaweeklongroadtrip!<br />
5. Keepingitcomfortable<br />
Considering our tight schedule,we actualy ended up<br />
spendingmoretimeinthecarthananyotherplace!Itwasour<br />
secondhomeinDelhiandtheTitanium+editioncomeskited<br />
outto ensure you’ve gotalyourcreature comforts.The<br />
charging ports were extremely useful, the onboard<br />
connectivitymeantthatVikram (whodidmostofthedriving)<br />
couldsynchisphoneandremainconnectedwhileplayingit<br />
sasafe,and we had the neat music system to keep us<br />
entertainedonsomeofourlongerrides.Thecabinitselfis<br />
rathercomfortable.Nocomplaintsfrom thefrontataland<br />
Muntaser(whospentmostofthetimeinthebackseat)never<br />
oncehadtocomplainaboutlegroom orhavingtofitinbehind<br />
twoguyswhoarealitleoversixfeettalandneedtheirseats<br />
pushedbackasfaraspossible.Takeourwordforit,theFigo<br />
Aspirescoresbigonthecomfortfactor.
