4 Reflections on the Year
Graduation time. The caps. The gowns. The chords. A final
goodbye to the life all seniors have known for the past thirteen
years. However, with this heartwarming chapter coming to a
close, many new doors eagerly await the graduating class of
2016. Before those caps get thrown into the air, first reflect on
the impact the senior class has left on Argyle High School like
multiple state championships, a new attendance policy, and
more. Let’s look at the legacy 2016 will leave behind.
6 Highlight Stories of 2016
Over the course of the 2015-16 school year, The Talon News
has covered top events ranging from new Chromebooks to the
new winter formal. However, with the school year coming to an
end, it is time to reminisce on the major events that define every
student’s high school career.
9 Top 10, Perfect attendance
In one word, the top ten students describe their desire to succeed
in high school like determination, opportunity, and more.
The top ten are as follows (in no particular order): Kaylie King,
Carleigh Klusman, Sarah Llewellyn, Shashwat Tripathi, Brandon
Couch, Ashley Ridenour, Claire DeSpain, Lillian Carter, Travis
Koczo, Tanner Boyzuick. Other Eagles who have the admirable
quality of perfect attendance during the 2015-16 school year,
especially seniors Breana Dewoody and Travis Koczo.
11 College Bound
Through different state borders, students are parting ways in all
different directions across America. The furthest of these being
Drew Estrada, who will be attending Dartmouth College in New
Hampshire, 1,827 miles away from home. Texas Tech University
will be taking on the most amount of Argyle students with 18
attending. However, the graduating class will always hold Argyle
High School close to their hearts.
15 Senior Plans
Seniors get serious about their college and future plans.
However, graduation is about having fun too, and no senior
wants to forget his or her senior crush. Whether it’s Lynda
Devine, Asa Burk, or “my car,” the seniors will always remember
their high school sweethearts.
22 Senior look-a-likes
One highlight of senior year is choosing the senior look-a-likes.
This year students found several fantastic similarities between
students and celebrities like Preston List and Tom Cruise, Ali
Childress and Angelina Jolie, and several other matches.
