To us, design is about finding your real — inner and outer — self and transcribing it into the surroundings in which
you live and work; bringing together analysis, aesthetics and skills drawn from our background in art and
engineering.
Our designs are a fusion of detail, colour, texture, pattern, and the emotion of visual inspiration.
We believe that what we create should be the natural you; telling the story of you, and who you are. That’s why we
love to create beautiful functional spaces that reflect a unique personality, or character, or style.
There is nothing better than seeing a client’s face when they first experience the results that we have created.
Designing spaces that are truly satisfying and joyful is what brings us the greatest happiness. It’s what we live for
and we will transform your life.

Senior
Designer
Alex Losikov
It began many years ago, when Alex was a designer of private yachts in the former USSR. Now with
more than 25 years of experience in space designing, Alex is the creative genius behind Bureau
d’Art Nouveau. Travelling through countless countries awakened Alex to different cultures, different
thinking, ideas and possibilities that could be translated into unique living spaces and amazing
surroundings. A common fallacy is that interior design is simply an understanding of colour, style
and budget: interior design has complexities that reach far beyond this, and to create an allembracing,
cohesive outcome requires exceptional talent… that talent is Alex.

Managing
Director
Anastasia Blinova
When the pressure is on, there is no one like Anastasia to get the job done. She is the
driving force of Bureau d’Art Nouveau with her passion for organisation and
implementation. However, there is another side, an artistic side. Anastasia can interpret
ideas, seek out stunning pieces of furniture or find a manufacturer of the most delicate
furnishing fabric. It could be said that her personal, hands-on involvement throughout the
process from start to finish is just as important as the actual design process.

Architectural
Services
What characterises our Architectural Services is that we ensure absolute quality and
refinement — in every detail. Nothing is too small or too insignificant to be overlooked.
We also aim for optimal utilisation of resources — through close management and
interventions — in order to provide the finest levels of craſtsmanship. At every stage,
we keep tight control of your project. From site survey and approvals, to construction and
finishing, we are your eyes. You can have total confidence that your home has been completed
to the most exacting standards.

hand drawn sketches help
to bring our architectural
concepts to life
Architectural sketches are all hand drawn. In this way,
we are able to express more clearly and in detail of
exactly how the design concept has evolved. Sketches
are finely detailed, and at the same time artistic, with
scale and perspectives intricately delineated.

Construction
Services
Without disciplined execution, projects oſten fail. We manage and oversee every element —
from simple to complex — so that the outcome more than meets your expectations;
meeting your goals and sustaining them — aesthetically, cost-effectively and on schedule.

Delivery
From the very beginning, we are planning for the day when
we deliver the property to you. We ensure that the handover
is as smooth as possible by inspecting the work at every
stage of construction, making certain that it is to the
highest standards.

Interior
Design
Services
Interior design is about beauty and harmony — with
more than a hint of efficiency. For us, an interior must
encapsulate the true personality of its owner so that
they feel comfortable… in their own private paradise.
Our inspiration comes from the big things and the little
things: from the overall environmental context; from
historic and classical to modern and contemporary
influences; from materials, textures and finishing
touches. By achieving careful and artistic design
compositions, we reveal our client’s distinctive
character.

Concept
Sketching
Sketching helps convey our concepts and ideas to a client.
From clearly defining details to providing the big picture,
our hand drawn sketches illustrate a vision. They help us work
through challenges, they provide information, and they give
momentum to a project. Unlike sterile computer-generated
models, our hand drawn sketches have life, and clearly
illustrate the various attributes of a design: form, space,
and materiality. While computers have a place in interior
design, and from time to time we will use 3D modelling,
pencil will more subtly capture the character of a project.

Classic Style
The key is order, symmetry and balance. Rooms
are designed around a focal point. There is much
use of natural colours and materials, together
with elegant fabrics.

Vintage Style
Rooms are oſten opulent and luxurious with
uncluttered, bold decorations – depending upon the
period. Walls and floors are mainly plain to contrast
with the decorative features. Deep hues of pastel
and neutral colours. Exotic woods used in furniture.

Country Style
Rooms have a cosy, comfortable feel. They feature
traditional elements in the context of the country
of origin. Natural and floral patterns used with
plaids and stripes. Rustic, bulky furniture. Rough
textures and finishes.

Contemporary
Style
Interiors are comfortable and welcoming and
uncluttered. The key identifier is line – achieved
through the use of bold colour blocks, high ceilings,
linear furniture, wooden floors, floor mats, bare
windows and geometric shapes in wall art and
sculpture.

Concept
Detailing
One of our hallmarks is superb detailing. We use
it as an artist uses a paint palette. This is the
moment when we bring life to a project design by
adding the colours and textures that enhance the
overall presentation. Detailing can include
custom wall, ceiling and floor effects, lighting
themes, hand craſted and hand finished
decorative mouldings, appliques, and faux paint
effects such as hand applied gold, silver or
bronze. These detailed colour renderings help
clients to conceptualise the final reality.

Decoration
An eye for detail is the key factor in elevating a completed
project to a truly memorable level. It is the ability to select,
place and arrange beautiful objects in an appealing way;
grouping them so that they are seen to their best advantage.
A client will recognise immediately that we have a feel for
balance; for the juxtaposition of texture and colour, form
and scale, height and width, solidity and lightness.

Sourcing Exclusive
Materials
Through extensive travel, sourcing a global network of talented artisans,
artists and dealers, we have gained access to unique and exotic ‘one-offs’
and exclusive production facilities. Our sourcing abilities allow us to offer
custom-designed mouldings, furniture and textiles — for lounges and
bedrooms, for bathrooms and patios… and from drapery and upholstery
to bed and table linens, carpets, rugs, and all the decorative items that
make rooms complete.

Execution
& Delivery
Our skilled interiors contractors and decorators are masters
at creating rooms that look and feel truly complete. Early on
we will have analysed how you live and how you want to use
and enjoy your spaces. Now is the time for putting all our
ideas in place — we integrate the colours, the textures, and
all the special features and elements that will make
completeness a reality.

We carefully
check every
aspect
of the project to ensure its excellence and
performance standards. Only when we are
fully satisfied, do we handover to our client.

Landscape Design
Services
Whilst individual landscape themes vary from contemporary to romantic Mediterranean,
they are always designed to be seamlessly in harmony with the style of the property
itself, and ever mindful of the need to be eco-friendly and water wise. We combine
artistry and engineering with an exciting and inviting palette of lush foliage, striking
focal points, water features and well-designed spaces for relaxation and entertainment…
creating a complete outdoor ambience to delight everyone.

Let us put
your mind
at ease
with reliable garden maintenance
services. Experienced maintenance
staff will care for your garden with
pride and dedication.
Landscaping
Implementation
Whether starting from bare ground or renovating an existing landscape we
can make your vision come to life. Our understanding of the engineering and
construction requirements of a complex landscaping project means that we
are able to successfully design and implement a project from the ground up.
Every aspect is carefully analysed, and our contractors will faithfully
reproduce our design quickly and with extreme care and attention to detail.

Understand Design
Art Nouveau Art Deco Contemporary
Within the Art Nouveau style itself, there are two
distinct looks: strong curved lines and a more
austere, linear look. From finely craſted wood and
metal to meticulously made stained glass and fine
art, Art Nouveau interiors shine with superb
craſtsmanship. Soſt and muted, the colour palette
ranges from earthy sages, mustards, and javas to
the more radiant lilacs, peacocks, or even snowy
white. Walls are oſten tiled or covered with
stunning wallpapers. Lavish nature-inspired motifs
feature strongly on wall finishes and textiles both
printed and woven. Other design elements such as
lighting incorporate bold designs, with 'Tiffany'
influences very prominent.
Art Deco is a decorative take on the modernist
style from the '20s and '30s. Interior architectural
elements include smooth walls with rounded
corners and fronts, parquet wood floors, and glass
block or porthole windows. Furniture is modern,
oſten with mirrored facades and accents, and is
heavily lacquered or inlaid with geometric designs.
Common materials include glass, veneer, stainless
steel, or chrome. Spaces are uncluttered with
minimal furniture or displayed items.
Characterised by open spaces, modern and clean
lines, contemporary styling features carefully
selected accents in bold shades. There is a lack of
ornamentation; instead, spaces are open and
decorative accents are carefully positioned. Floors
may be hardwood, ceramic, or polished concrete.
Modern homes with large, uncovered windows and
high ceilings are ideal for this design aesthetic.
Furniture and walls are usually white, neutral, and
black, with bold coloured accent walls. Present will
be large-scale art, or geometric floor coverings.
Architectural highlight elements will have texture,
such as exposed wooden beams, brick walls, or air
ducts.

Classic
Classic interiors are an ageless preference,
highlighting an age of comfortable elegance and
gracious living that easily adapts to changing
lifestyles. Based on styling first popularized in the
earlier centuries, classic decoration relies on the
prominent positioning of finely craſted
woodworking. Regal colours combined with finely
designed and craſted furniture form the benchmark
of classic design lines. Fabrics in a classic setting
are generally neither too shiny, nor too textured,
with solid, tone-on-tone, and muted patterns.
Moroccan
The Moroccan style contains influences of North
African cultures, with a mixture of French and
Spanish incorporated. The feel is overwhelmingly
colourful, casual, and welcoming. Walls are oſten
heavily textured and painted rich, deep colours.
Textiles and ceramics are common decorative
elements and feature bold geographic patterns
such as moons, stars or chevrons. Ceramic tiled
floors have Persian-style rugs. Furniture is
generally made with wood with plenty of
overstuffed cushions.
Industrial
Industrial design style is regularly found in
converted industrial spaces and in loſts, where
open spaces, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling
windows are common, and define the design
elements. Industrial spaces tend to incorporate
raw building materials as part of the features,
using exposed brick walls, concrete or weathered
wood floors, bare ceilings, structural beams, and
metal air ducts. Because these elements have so
much texture, a neutral palette is commonly used.
Vintage
Vintage interior design is all about creating a sense of charm and history
through old eclectic pieces. It incorporates a plethora of mix and match
elements that can create the same classy look of the past; and when teamed
with the right colour palette will give a modern touch to the ambience.
A rich, layered look combining furniture designs from various time periods,
and a diverse collection of accessories and artwork. Dusty colours, timeworn
or handmade textiles, and collected objects create a lived-in feel.
