NABIBAKHSHMANSOORI
Nabibakhsh Mansoori was born in 1966 in Idar, Gujarat. He completed his
Diploma in Fine Art, Drawing and Paintings at the Sheth C.N. College of
Fine Arts, Ahmedabad in 1990, obtaining a Post Diploma in Fine Arts
from the M.S University of Baroda two years later.
Colour has always left him in awe. He was first introduced to it as a child
after his father handed him a prism with convex and concave lens. That
experience transformed the way he saw the world around him and is
strongly reflected in his work to this day – a multitude of colours, daring
brusque colours, layered imagery, sometimes dream-like, vivid use of
light, all combine to drum up an energy in his paintings that leaps out at
you.

NAYANKISNADWALA
Nayan V. Kisnadwala a banker by profession, took to painting later in
life, re-ignited by his passion for art that had laid dormant for decades
as he worked to make a living. Signing his works as Nayanmitra, as
given to him by his spiritual teacher, Her Holiness Anant Sri Vibhusit
Pratham Parvatyacharya GuruMaa J Saraswati, the work is his homage
to the guru. Drawing from symbolism and inspired by scriptures, his
art engages with colour therapy and numerology to create positive
vibrations. Meditative in essence he contributes all sale proceeds from
his art for various charitable causes.

SUCHICHIDAMBARAM
Suchi Chidambaram's paintings express the energy, motion and
vibrancy of places that she has a close association with: India where
she grew up and London, where she now lives and works.
She is drawn to views of cities, their people, the architecture and the
absorbing stories behind them. These are not painted in situ, rather
they are painted from her distinctive memory of these places, often
driven by her emotions. She captures the mood of these cities and
narrate them on to the canvas with impressionistic strokes of thick oil
paint with the use of a palette knife, allowing fragments of visual data
to combine with her subjective and emotional response. They reveal
the rhythm and movement of the people in these places, shifting
between abstract and figurative. As this is an ongoing series for her,
she retells the story of the places she visits - some of course are
revisited and retold more than others...

VAISHALISHADANGULE
After devoting almost two decades to revisiting and reviving Indian
textiles, Vaishali Shadangule draws inspiration from her ability to
observe and listen, leaving her designs to speak for them.
Now a fashion veteran, Vaishali took a giant step when she moved from
her hometown of Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, India, a place where
one often comes across traditional crafts in one’s daily routine and
hence the adaptation was natural.
Vaishali brews a heady concoction where a glamorous, modern
silhouette is stirred with honest loom fabric and sprinkled with
the fragrance of soil from distant Indian villages. Her creations
are wearable souvenirs amassed from her
many pursuits of Indian weave.
