Anniversary Appeal Appeal update Please accept my sincere thanks for your remarkable support towards our Anniversary Appeal. Thanks to you, the School has already secured a phenomenal £2.57 million towards the Music Studios alone! This progress has been matched by the equally rapid construction of this building as many concert-goers will have seen. Whether you have chosen to support the creation of first-rate facilities in which students can practise or the provision of much-needed bursaries, your generosity will enable the School to nurture exceptional musical talent as never before. However, as we enter the final phase of the Anniversary Appeal, we continue our efforts to raise just over £900k before construction is completed! I am delighted to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our Appeal Chairman Stuart Mitchell and a number of other special donors, the School is able to offer up to £500,000 of Matched Funding for all gifts received before 1 July 2016. This means that any donation made will be matched £1 for £1, in effect doubling the value of your donation. There are a number of ways in which you can make the most of this opportunity: • Join others in supporting a named Music Studio, room or a concert. • Sign up for a number of highly memorable events throughout the centenary year, culminating in the ten-day Gala Festival. • Participate in our ‘Buy a Brick’ scheme. If you would like to purchase an individual brick paver for display in the courtyard of the Music Studios for £50, you will be able to leave your mark for generations to come. Programmes are selected from a broad range of music that is being studied at any one time in the School. The Director of Music consults with the instrumental teachers and together they decide which pieces are ready to present to the public.
