“The new Northern Beaches Council has
started on a very strong economic footing.
More than 263,000 call the area home. Our
gross regional product is $13.33 billion.
We have are 93,400 households and 31,000
businesses. There are close to 96,000 jobs
for local people,” - Dick Persson, Administrator,
Northern Beaches Council.
“In the area of pharmaceuticals and
medicines, this company (Phebra) is lead-
ing the way and we should be so very proud
of it,” -

“The government will also increase
access to a range of small business tax
concessions to more Australian businesses
with turnover of less than $10
million. This will enable 31,587 businesses
in my North Sydney electorate
to access these concessions,” - Federal

“It would not be fair to allow
purchasers to walk away from offthe-plan
contracts, but it would be
fair for the Government to legislate
a 28 day minimum period from
the date when the plan is registered
until they are required to settle, to
give enough time to obtain finance
approval. At present, property developers
are insisting on no more than
14 days, which is simply not enough

with the next survey in six months
to see if the outlook has improved or
