n late 2014, Matthew was playing in a kickball game
at a field that seem to have more craters than a middle
school aged boy’s face. In last game of the season,
Matthew ran after a pop fly and his foot planted into one of
the craters then twisted his knee. He was in excruciating
pain, but stayed on the sidelines to cheer on his team for
the remainder of the game. After the game, his teammates
that included his coworkers and girlfriend, Lauren Thomas,
helped him get back home safe and sound. After going to
the doctor, he found that he had torn his ACL and would
need surgery. Matt searched for the best doctor and found
Dr. Walter Lowe. He is a very well recognized and respected
doctor and has operated on professional athletes from the
Houston Rockets and Texans. In February of 2015, Matthew
had his ACL surgery and when he got out of surgery, his
mom Margaret Krzyzanska and girlfriend were there by his
side. His mom came all the way down from Canada to help
him in him with his recovery. She took him to many of his
