Summer Reading Challenge
Saturday 25 June – Saturday 20 August
Sign up for the Big Friendly Read (BFR)
this summer and celebrate 100 years of the
world’s favourite storyteller Roald Dahl.
Big kids or small, come one and all, and
you can reap some gloriumptious treats
and squiffling surprises on your summer
adventure, reading your way through our
humungus, fantastical collection of BFR
books.
In the words of Roald Dahl – “A little
nonsense now and then is cherished
by the wisest men.”
You can register at your local library from
Saturday 25 June 2016 and collect your BFR
membership wallet. Collect your limited
edition Quentin Blake collectors cards every
time you read a book (there are six to collect.)
Read two books and collect your Mischievous
Doorhanger and four books to collect a Piggy
Bank. Complete the challenge by reading
six books and collect your BFR Rainbow
Spectrum Glasses, BFR Certificate and
Magnificent Medal.
All the ingredients are there for you: Mischief,
Champions, Adventure, Langwitch, Invention
and Friendship = Big Friendly Read(BFR).

A fun filled morning of learning how to
design and make comic strips and then
make an amazing pocket sized book for
friends and family. Design characters

If a class is cancelled due to insufficient
demand, you will receive a full refund. If you
decide to withdraw from a class please tell

refund of the course fee, less an administration
fee of £6 will be made.
