<strong>with</strong> <strong>milled</strong> <strong>ceramic</strong>, <strong>zirconia</strong> <strong>or</strong> e.<strong>max</strong>

prepared <strong>zirconia</strong>/<strong>ceramic</strong>/e.<strong>max</strong> crowns<br />

A step by step guidance


The example<br />

All-on-4 implant supp<strong>or</strong>ted pros<strong>the</strong>ses<br />

Material f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> mastermodel: Gypsum<br />

Bridge from 16 – 26<br />

Material f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> framew<strong>or</strong>k: <strong>JUVORA</strong> Dental Disc<br />

Zirconia single crowns,<br />

The combination is also possible<br />

<strong>with</strong> e.<strong>max</strong> <strong>or</strong> <strong>ceramic</strong> crowns.


The preparation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>zirconia</strong> crowns<br />

The inner surface <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

crowns will be roughened <strong>with</strong><br />

aluminiumoxide: 110µ -<br />

125µ/2 bar.<br />

Afterwards, <strong>the</strong> crowns will be<br />

cleaned <strong>with</strong> a steamer


The preparation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bonding<br />

Application <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> “silane“ (ESPE Sil) <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>JUVORA</strong> PEEK framew<strong>or</strong>k.<br />

No additional treatment f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> crowns required, only sandblasting.<br />

Ventilating time 10 min – 20 min.<br />

No opaque paste is required.


The application <strong>of</strong> adhesive cements is recommended<br />

In our sample, we used <strong>the</strong><br />

adhaesive system from ESPE:<br />

3M ESPE „Nimetic Cem“<br />

O<strong>the</strong>r possible adhaesive systems:<br />

RelyX Ultimate<br />

Rely X Unicem<br />

Variolink II<br />

Panavia F


Application <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adhesive<br />

Mixing <strong>with</strong> each o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

acc<strong>or</strong>ding <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> guide <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> producer.<br />

Thin application<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> cement.<br />

The adhaesive <strong>with</strong><br />

two components.


Curing time acc<strong>or</strong>ding <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> processing guide <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> producer.<br />

Removal <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adhaesive splits<br />

<strong>with</strong> alcohol and a cot<strong>to</strong>n ball.<br />

Insertion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> crown.<br />

The surplus materila has<br />

<strong>to</strong> be removed<br />

completely.


Treatment <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> screw retained positions<br />

The screw retained positions will be<br />

treated by <strong>the</strong> dentist:<br />

The insertion will done <strong>with</strong> “Temp<br />

Bond“ cement, prepared f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

“recall“ <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> patient.<br />

The crowns have <strong>to</strong> be removable.


Removal <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> unnecessary adhesive<br />

The unnecessary adhaesive<br />

will be carefully removed by a<br />

fine burr, <strong>the</strong> level <strong>of</strong> te tissue<br />

will be adapted.


Preparation f<strong>or</strong> sandblasting <strong>of</strong> <strong>JUVORA</strong><br />

In preparation f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> sandblasting<br />

treatment <strong>of</strong> <strong>JUVORA</strong> and <strong>the</strong><br />

bonding system, <strong>the</strong> crown should<br />

be covered <strong>with</strong> wax.


The used bonding system<br />

In this described guidance we used <strong>the</strong><br />

combination <strong>of</strong> ESPE, “Rocatec Plus“ and “ESPE<br />

Sil“ f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> bonding treatment (one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>JUVORA</strong> bonding systems is recommended)<br />

Application in a thin layer f<strong>or</strong> <strong>to</strong> avoid any<br />

puddles.<br />

Ventilating time: 10 – 20 min.


Application <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> gum coloured opaque


Light curing <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> opaque paste<br />

Light curing time: 180 seconds, no vacuum


Isolation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> removable crowns<br />

The crowns in combination <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> screw retained implants have <strong>to</strong> be<br />

removed from time <strong>to</strong> time (patient recall), it is imp<strong>or</strong>tant that <strong>the</strong>y will have not<br />

any chemical connection <strong>with</strong> „gum flow“.<br />

A silicon isolation liquid (thin layer)is very helpful, it prevents any chemical<br />

connection.


Application <strong>of</strong> gum flow<br />

The application <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> gum<br />

material can be done <strong>with</strong> a<br />

liquid gum flow.<br />

The modeling <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> gum<br />

happens <strong>with</strong> a smoth brush<br />

and alcohol.


Final polymerization<br />

The final polimerisation can be done <strong>with</strong> <strong>or</strong> <strong>with</strong>out vacuum.<br />

Time: 10 minutes


Finish and polish<br />

The finish <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> denture happens indivdual by <strong>the</strong>dental technician.<br />

There are different ways <strong>to</strong> achive a high gloss surface.
