Occupational Therapy Practice Guidelines Series
Using an evidence-based perspective developed by the AOTA Evidence-Based
Practice Project and key concepts from the Occupational
Therapy Practice Framework, these guidelines provide an overview
of the occupational therapy process for each respective topic. They
define the process and the nature, frequency, and duration of the
intervention that occurs within the boundaries of the illness or
physical disability being addressed.
for occupational therapy practitioners to
provide quality, evidence-based services.
Appendices, provided on a flash drive for
Supporting Decision Making
ensure that occupational therapy practitioners
and external audiences have the
best available scientific evidence and recommendations
to support decision making
that promotes a high-quality health
