MESSAGE OF ADMINISTRATOR<br />
DHA KARACHI<br />
It gives me great pleasure to interact with the residents and stakeholders of DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>), and to<br />
extend my best wishes to them. It is heartening that <strong>DCK</strong> project is maintaining its momentum and moving<br />
ahead with leaps and bounds making impressive inroads of strategic significance.<br />
The ongoing fast-track development and initiation of new projects/novel interventions in <strong>DCK</strong> have<br />
given a tremendous boost to the project. <strong>DCK</strong> in a very short span of time has emerged as a dynamic<br />
project of international stature which has all the potential to provide an ambience of modern, secure<br />
and comfortable living to its residents.<br />
The recent agreement signing and groundbreaking ceremony for establishment of a new Campus of DOW<br />
University of Medical Sciences in <strong>DCK</strong> is a momentous initiative for a quantum leap forward in the field of<br />
healthcare and medical services. This and a host of other schemes including DHA Oasis, Farmhouses II and<br />
Chalets (being launched shortly), ongoing sector development works, initiation of housing project in<br />
Sector-3, 1.5 MW Solar Power project and launching of infrastructure development work in Sector 14 are<br />
testimony of the credibility and potential of <strong>DCK</strong> in the field of housing and development.<br />
Other significant upcoming developments of <strong>DCK</strong> include construction of DHA Suffa University in Central<br />
Business District (Knowledge Park) of <strong>DCK</strong>, construction of College in Sector-3, Hilltop Club Project and<br />
launching of redesigned <strong>DCK</strong> Entrance Gate Project. All these projects have given a new dimension and an<br />
added value to <strong>DCK</strong> to make it as the fastest growing residential project of the country with a vision for future.<br />
The dynamic value additions in <strong>DCK</strong> are reassuring which is evident in shape of phenomenal increase in<br />
property/plot prices in <strong>DCK</strong>. DHA City Karachi is moving ahead as a trendsetter project in housing and<br />
community related development. <strong>DCK</strong> has indeed become a most attractive, safe and profitable option for<br />
real estate investment in the country today.<br />

MOST PROFITABLE REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT<br />
DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) is a uniquely planned residential project of international stature. DHA in the last one year has<br />
made some remarkable interventions in <strong>DCK</strong> which has given a new dimension and an added value to the project. MoUs<br />
for Establishment of Shaukat Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital and a new IBA Campus in <strong>DCK</strong> have been signed.<br />
Agreement Signing for Establishment of DOW Medical University Campus and a state-of-the-art Liver Transplant Centre<br />
in <strong>DCK</strong> has also been concluded. Malir Motorway (M-9) project connecting DHA with <strong>DCK</strong>, that will curtail the travelling<br />
time to <strong>DCK</strong> to 20 minutes, is in the active stage of planning. Yet another outstanding feature of <strong>DCK</strong> is launching of DHA<br />
Oasis Project (Farmhouses) which is swiftly being developed as a marvel of superior architecture and extravagance and<br />
will redefine the concept of luxurious lifestyle in the country. Farmhouses-II and Chalets are shortly being launched. All<br />
these exciting and wonderful interventions have enhanced the value and stature of <strong>DCK</strong> tremendously.<br />
People are constantly showing tremendous interest in <strong>DCK</strong> which is simply a reflection of high degree of confidence and<br />
trust of public in DHA City Karachi which is overwhelming and in fact is a ringing note of their endorsement in the project.<br />
The prices of plots in <strong>DCK</strong> have consistently shown a sharp rise. Despite a temporary slum in property prices all over<br />
the country, the prices of <strong>DCK</strong> plots are gradually coming back to its previous value and showing positive sign of<br />

Adjutant General (AG) GHQ, Lt Gen Anwar Ali Hyder visited the<br />
DHA City Karachi project. Administrator DHA Brig. Zubair Ahmed<br />
apprised the AG about <strong>DCK</strong>’s development strategy and the<br />
progress of the ongoing development works in <strong>DCK</strong> to make it<br />
livable by this year.<br />
Later the AG drove through various sectors of <strong>DCK</strong> where he saw<br />
the infrastructure/sector development works going on in full swing.<br />
AG performed the groundbreaking of Sector-14 development<br />
works. In Sector-14 of <strong>DCK</strong>, a number of dedicated plots have<br />
been catered for junior commissioned officers (JCOs) and soldiers<br />
of Pakistan Army as per the vision and direction of COAS General<br />
Raheel Sharif. Adjutant General was also briefed on the site about<br />
the Farmhouses project which is being developed at a galloping<br />
pace.<br />
The Adjutant General commended the pace and quality of<br />
development works going on in <strong>DCK</strong> which he said were<br />
reassuring and substantiate the credibility and professionalism of<br />
DHA.<br />

DOW MEDICAL UNIVERSITY<br />
CAMPUS IN <strong>DCK</strong><br />
Groundbreaking and Agreement Signing Ceremony for establishment of a new Campus of DOW University<br />
of Health Sciences (DUHS) and a state-of-the art Liver Transplant Centre at the dedicated Healthcare<br />
District of DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) was held at <strong>DCK</strong>. Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and<br />
Commander 5 Corps Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar were the chief guests of the ceremony.<br />
The Governor appreciated the courageous decision of DOW University taken with support of DHA to<br />
establish its new Campus at <strong>DCK</strong> which will extend the frontiers of world-class medical education and<br />
qualitative healthcare services in the province. He said that the new health facility at <strong>DCK</strong> would be the<br />
most modern/advanced facility in the region.<br />
Commander 5 Corps Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar commended the decision of DUHS to establish its campus<br />
in <strong>DCK</strong> that would be harbinger of the beginning of a new era of medical progress and advancement in the<br />
country. He said that the strength of nation is dependent on the health and vitality of its people and it was<br />
reassuring that the new DUHS Campus would be instrumental in extending the qualitative healthcare and<br />
medical services outreach to the masses.<br />
VC DUHS Dr Masood Hameed Khan said that DOW University will establish its campus spread over 10<br />
acres of land under a four staged development program starting with immediately setting up of a<br />
Dispensary and an Ambulance service, followed by a Medical Centre next year, graduating to a Secondary<br />
Care Hospital and finally culminating into establishment of a full-fledged Medical College linked to a fully<br />
functional Teaching Hospital.<br />
Administrator DHA Brig Zubair Ahmed said that <strong>DCK</strong> Healthcare District, spread over 95 acres of land, will<br />
have different campuses and presence of leading hospitals and medical enterprises that will make it a<br />
nucleus for provision of world-class healthcare and medical facilities to the public.<br />

1.5 MW SOLAR PARK PROJECT<br />
A SIGNIFICANT RENEWABLE<br />
GREEN ENERGY INITIATIVE IN <strong>DCK</strong><br />
<strong>DCK</strong> is an exclusive environmental friendly residential project of the country where clean and environmentally safe<br />
renewable energy will be used in addition to the conventional source of energy. <strong>DCK</strong> is an open terrain exposed to lot<br />
of sunshine and wind which will be harnessed to produce renewable green energy. A 1.5 MW Solar Park project as an<br />
energy smart initiative is being developed in the Campsite Area of <strong>DCK</strong> Gateway District. The project is near completion.<br />
Salient features of the project include:<br />
EXCITING CYCLING EVENT<br />
AT <strong>DCK</strong><br />
A lively cycling event was organized by DHA with much fanfare at the serene and picturesque location of the upcoming<br />
DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) project on Super Highway. About 70 enthusiastic cyclists belonging to the outfit called Critical<br />
Mass, an organization for promotion of cycling, participated in the truly inspiring event. It was a thrilling and exciting<br />
experience for the participants as they traversed the 20 km cycling track passing through undulating grounds,<br />
depressions, bridges, valleys, boulevard and roundabouts of <strong>DCK</strong> getting closer to nature while enjoying every moment<br />
of the cycling ride.<br />

This 1.5 MW Solar Farm will serve as a pilot project which will later be extended to maximize the power generation<br />
through extension in existing project. This project is a significant step forward towards the sustainability concept<br />
of <strong>DCK</strong> and an excellent example of use of renewable green energy.<br />
Solar Tree like structures built will efficiently utilize the parking lot for a dual purpose i.e. providing shade for parked<br />
vehicles as well as to generate solar energy. Solar Panels have been fixed on the top of the Parking Area Shed;<br />
moreover Solar Panels will also be fixed on roof of buildings in <strong>DCK</strong>. Ground Mounted Solar Panels will also be<br />
placed on ground in the area designated for the purpose.<br />
Solar Park will initially provide energy to 5 projects including Solar Water Pumping RO Plants, Covered Parking Lot,<br />
Campsite Buildings, Multi Storey Complex, Solar Pumping Stations and Solar Street Lights. It will also cater for the<br />
initial energy demand of Sector-3.<br />
A sumptuous brunch was arranged for the spirited cyclists at <strong>DCK</strong> Visitors Centre. Project Director <strong>DCK</strong> Brig. (R)<br />
Muhammad Rafique presented souvenirs to the participants at the end of the cycling race.<br />
This Sports Event was organized to promote healthy and constructive trends in society. The exciting cycling event is<br />
manifestation of the progressive and enlightened vision of DHA City Karachi.<br />
Ground Mounted Solar Photo Voltage (PV) Cells in a grid configuration will be installed on rooftops of<br />
buildings/structures for generation of solar energy.<br />

In every house 30% load will be met through Solar Energy (3 KWs to 5 KWs).<br />
High efficiency PV modules (+300W) are being used with the state-of-the-art Grid Connected Invertors.<br />
Top of the line Solar PV Cells have been procured from China while hi-tech state-of-the-art Grid Invertors being<br />
used are from Germany.<br />

CAMPAIGN IN <strong>DCK</strong><br />
The saplings chosen for plantation i.e. mostly Keekar and Neem trees are suitable as per the existing weather and soil.<br />
The dynamic team of <strong>DCK</strong> Horticulture will ensure proper growth and protection of planted trees to make the campaign<br />
a success in true letter and spirit.<br />
A number of stakeholders comprising governmental and nongovernmental departments and NGOs including DHA,<br />
<strong>DCK</strong>, World Wide Fund for Nature, Cantonment Board Clifton, Sindh Forest Department, National Forum for<br />
Environment and Health, Mera Karachi Group, Critical Mass of Bikers, Institute of Architects Pakistan Chapter, Pakistan<br />
Green Building Council, Vintage and Classic Car Club of Pakistan, the Pack-Group of Heavy Bikers, Osmani &<br />
Company, DHA Oasis and Defence Central Library are part of the campaign.<br />
An extensive tree plantation campaign ‘Go Green DHA’ jointly initiated by Defence Housing Authority Karachi and World<br />
Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to add to the greenery of the upcoming DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) project in a massive<br />
manner began in August <strong>2016</strong>. Project Director <strong>DCK</strong> Brig. Muhammad Rafique planted a sapling of fruit tree in a<br />
ceremony held at <strong>DCK</strong> project site which marked the beginning of the environmental friendly campaign.<br />
A record number of 100,000 plants of various trees will be planted all along the nook and corner of <strong>DCK</strong> during the<br />
campaign. This is a momentous initiative of DHA towards making 12000 acres of <strong>DCK</strong> terrain truly green in all aspects<br />
in accordance with its declared status of a sustainable green city of Pakistan. The saplings of appropriate fruit and<br />
shady trees will be planted across the undulating semi hilly terrain of <strong>DCK</strong> that will significantly add to the vegetation<br />
and greenery of the area making <strong>DCK</strong> an environment/eco friendly residential project of significance. PD <strong>DCK</strong> said that<br />
‘Go Green DHA’ is not only a campaign but a versatile action plan that will go a long way to mitigate environmental<br />
degradation and global warming in DHA City.<br />

DHA FARMHOUSES<br />
REDEFINING LUXURIOUS<br />

The recently launched DHA Oasis (Farmhouses) project is in the active stage of execution and is being speedily<br />
developed in accordance with contemporary engineering and professional standards to be completed in 30 months.<br />
DHA Oasis is coming up as a marvel of superior architecture and extravagance with breathtaking panoramic views of<br />
<strong>DCK</strong>’s exotic natural surroundings. The majestic Farmhouses project has all the potential to transform the entire<br />
concept of family recreation from a weekend activity to a lifetime living dream. The DHA Oasis – Ready Farmhouses in<br />
DHA City is being constructed in line with the Spanish architectural designs and will be equipped with the exquisite<br />
lineaments with 24/7 maintenance facilities.<br />
The impeccably designed Farmhouses in <strong>DCK</strong> will be a gorgeous living unit. The Farmhouses comprises of 2 to 3<br />

LATEST PROGRESS/UPDATE<br />
OF DHA OASIS PROJECT<br />
The infrastructural development work of Farmhouses arena in Sector-2 of <strong>DCK</strong> is speedily being completed. The road<br />
network has been completed. A pre-fab Office of DHA Oasis project has been constructed at the project site. Tube wells<br />
have been dug and overhead/underground water tanks have been made at the site. Laying of lines for bulk supply of<br />
water is speedily being completed.<br />
A significant feature is the completion of two Farmhouses of 2000 Sq. Yds. and another 2 Farmhouses of 2500 Sq. Yds.<br />
Farmhouses-II and a new product of Chalets are being launched soon. The spacious road network leading to the venue<br />
of Farmhouses has been built according to international standards. Most of the roads have been completed while the<br />
remaining are being completed soon. The roads have adequate space for pedestrians and for cycling as well.<br />
A significant feature of the development strategy of DHA Oasis is the comprehensive quality control of the project to<br />
ensure highest standards of engineering excellence and state-of-the-art construction work. The supervision by the<br />
consultant and DHA City Karachi staff is stringent which ensures proper testing and quality checks at each stage of the<br />
project. DHA Oasis project is well within the planned time of completion to become Pakistan’s most desirable living<br />
arena encompassing a touch of class and aesthetic ambience.<br />
The engrossing scenery, the lush green panorama, the passive water vista, the humming of the fowl, all appear as an<br />

COMMITTEE MEETING<br />
Administrator DHA Brig. Zubair Ahmed visited DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) astride Super Highway and spent a busy time at<br />
the project site. He went to the site of Model Farmhouses which are in advanced stage of completion. He also drove<br />
through the <strong>DCK</strong> Road Network which is being speedily developed/constructed. He appreciated the quality and pace<br />
of development and commended the zeal and professional exuberance of <strong>DCK</strong> team with which it was engaged in<br />
completing the ongoing projects.<br />
Later Brig. Zubair Ahmed chaired a meeting at <strong>DCK</strong> Camp Office in which the progress of the ongoing and the planned<br />
strategic projects of DHA City were discussed and appropriate decisions taken to expedite their completion/initiation.<br />
These projects included Housing Scheme project in Sector-3 of <strong>DCK</strong>, the iconic Hill Top Club project, update on<br />
ongoing development works of DHA Oasis (Farmhouses), different infrastructural/sector development projects and the<br />
upcoming Solar Park project in <strong>DCK</strong> which is being inaugurated shortly.<br />
DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) Steering Committee Meeting chaired by Administrator DHA Brig. Zubair Ahmed was held in the<br />
Conference Room at the project site to review/evaluate the progress of the ongoing development activities of DHA City<br />
Karachi in all its ramifications.<br />
Administrator asked the <strong>DCK</strong> management and the project consultant to ensure qualitative cum holistic development of<br />
the ongoing <strong>DCK</strong> projects as per the contemporary engineering/ architectural trends and to ensure availability of all<br />
basic civic amenities in Sector-3 before it is opened for construction this year.<br />
Administrator appreciated the speed, quality and spirited approach of <strong>DCK</strong> team with which it was engaged in<br />
completing the development works with professional exuberance.<br />
Earlier Project Director <strong>DCK</strong> Brig. (Retd.) Muhammad Rafique delineated the progress made in the ongoing sector/road<br />
development works in <strong>DCK</strong>. Steering Committee also deliberated on a host of administrative and professional issues<br />
and took appropriate decisions to ensure unhampered smooth and expeditious development of <strong>DCK</strong>.<br />

SECTOR-3 – VANGUARD SECTOR OF <strong>DCK</strong><br />
OPENING FOR CONSTRUCTION SOON<br />
DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) is a uniquely planned, sustainable and green project of Pakistan, which is being developed as<br />
a city of international stature at a galloping pace in accordance with a dynamic development policy. The pace of<br />
development going on with a professional exuberance is impressive and substantiates DHA’s credibility in the field of<br />
housing and development. <strong>DCK</strong> project has all the potential to provide an ambience of modern, secure and comfortable<br />
living experience to its residents.<br />
Sector-3 is the prime sector of <strong>DCK</strong> where the infrastructure and sector development work has been substantially<br />
completed and handing/taking over of the sector is in progress. The work on provision of basic facilities/amenities of life<br />
including construction of buildings of social/community utility is progressing at a phenomenal pace and will be<br />
completed soon before the sector is opened for construction by the end of this year. The quality, standard and pace of<br />
development on all accounts is simply superb and magnificent. A review of development of various facets of Sector-3<br />

Infrastructure Development Work:<br />
The infrastructure development work as per the highest engineering standards of excellence has been fully completed.<br />
These works include roads, sewerage network, water supply lines and structures etc. The work on laying of Sui gas lines<br />
and ICT Network is starting shortly. The contractor has already mobilized to the site.<br />
Provision of Basic Amenities:<br />
The provision of basic amenities of life including water, electricity and gas in Sector-3 before it is opened for<br />
construction in being ensured. Underground water of high quality is available in the area which will meet water<br />
requirements of the sector. As far as electricity is concerned apart from conventional source of electricity for which<br />
laying of electric underground lines is going on, the initial demand of Sector-3 will be met thorough 1.5 MW Solar Energy<br />
project which has been completed and will be commissioned soon. Arrangements for provision of compressed natural<br />
gas have also been made for which work on lying of gas pipelines is going on.<br />
Housing is the most essential requirement<br />
for living which defines the stature and<br />
quality of life in the area. Sector-3 in <strong>DCK</strong><br />
will be opened for construction by the end<br />
of this year. Provision of exquisitely built<br />
houses of Spanish design as per the top<br />
of the line construction standards at<br />
affordable prices has been ensured in the<br />
Sector. These readymade houses will be<br />
marvel of architectural design,<br />
construction excellence and<br />
extravagance. There will be five<br />
types/categories of houses. However<br />
uniformity of texture and basic design<br />
features has been maintained to merge<br />
them into a homogenous community<br />
outlook. Total number of houses being<br />
built is 143 and they will of 200, 250, 300,<br />
500 and 1000 Sq Yds specification and<br />
will have all the modern<br />
amenities/facilities available to make the<br />
living comfortable. The Spanish design<br />
has both Islamic texture as well as<br />
modern contemporary outlook. The<br />
Housing Sector will be the lifeline of<br />
Sector-3 and add to the glory and fame of<br />
<strong>DCK</strong>. The views of houses of different<br />
specifications are enchanting and<br />
fascinating which are illustrated below.<br />

BUILDING PROGRESS IN<br />
SECTOR-3<br />
Sector-3 with all infrastructural facilities is distinguished as the first sector of <strong>DCK</strong> that will be opened for construction<br />
this year. The work on development of amenity/essential buildings is fastly moving ahead that will supplement/augment<br />
the concept of livability in the area. To ensure high quality living some essential interventions have been made to realize<br />
the cherished objectives of livability in true letter and spirit. The progress of development of essential/amenity buildings<br />
in the sector embodying contemporary architectural trends is as under.<br />

College: The construction of a College in Sector-3 is starting soon. The contractor has already moved to the site and<br />

<strong>DCK</strong> Suffa University: The new purpose built spacious Campus of Suffa University in <strong>DCK</strong> has started and work on<br />
building a state-of-the-art <strong>DCK</strong> Suffa University of Engineering, Medical and Management Sciences is progressing<br />
with full vigour and speed<br />

Masjid Work: The work on construction of a state-of-the-art Masjid in Sector-3 is going on at full speed. The structure<br />
has been raised and finishing work is in progress.<br />

The work on <strong>DCK</strong> Main Entrance<br />
Gate in DHA City Karachi has<br />
started. The expanded/redesigned<br />
Main Entrance Gate of DHA City<br />
comprising 18 Bays is being built<br />
as an iconic structure having eight<br />
gates each for entrance and exit.<br />
The entrance gate has been<br />
conceptually designed for<br />
providing a 180 feet vertical<br />
monumental entrance with <strong>DCK</strong><br />
logo inscribed at its centre and<br />
supported by hanging cable to give<br />
it an iconic appearance. The iconic<br />
tower on completion will become a<br />
piece of attraction for DHA City<br />
because of its visibility miles away<br />
from Super Highway.<br />
<strong>DCK</strong> project is being expeditiously<br />
developed as a planned,<br />
sustainable and smart city of<br />
Pakistan in accordance with a<br />
versatile development strategy. The<br />
uniquely designed <strong>DCK</strong> Entrance<br />
Gate is yet another value addition<br />
that will give a new dimension and<br />
an added value to DHA City<br />

DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN<br />
<strong>DCK</strong>-PHENOMENAL PROGRESS<br />
The Infrastructure Development Works in different Sectors of DHA City Karachi (<strong>DCK</strong>) are being<br />
completed on a fast track basis in accordance with a versatile development strategy. The pace and<br />
quality of construction is reassuring and reinforce the hope that <strong>DCK</strong> as a trendsetter project will<br />
soon emerge on the horizon of the metropolis as a model city of Pakistan to be emulated by<br />
upcoming independent cities of the future. The sector wise progress of development of various<br />
sectors is stipulated below.<br />
Sectors 2,5 and7: The infrastructure development works are in full swing and are being executed<br />
with renewed vigour and professional exuberance. The Main Infrastructure Development Works of<br />
Sector 5 and Sector 7 are very close to completion while finishing works are going on at full pace.<br />
These works are being executed as per the highest engineering and architectural standards and<br />
monitored stringently to maintain the quality control. This will be followed by provision/construction<br />
of essential services and social/amenity buildings to make the area livable. These sectors will<br />
hopefully be opened for construction in a year’s time.<br />
Roads Network in <strong>DCK</strong>: All the major roads/avenues in <strong>DCK</strong> originating from the entrance point till<br />
the last point/edge of the project area have been completed. The wide roads have been constructed<br />
maintaining a very high quality and international Ashto standards. The specifications of the roads are<br />
as per international standards while culverts, bridges and footh paths are part of the road network.<br />
The finishing work of roads is going on with full vigour and speed. The road networks constructed in<br />
the undulating ground of <strong>DCK</strong> with depressions, valleys and high grounds in the semi hilly terrain in<br />
the backdrop of picturesque back ground is an epitome of engineering excellence and extends to the<br />
furthest end of <strong>DCK</strong> boundary uptil Goth Karim Dad.<br />
DHA CITY DIRECTORATE<br />
Central Business District (CBD:. Central Business District in <strong>DCK</strong> is a very important arena which<br />
apart from being nucleus of business related activities in <strong>DCK</strong> will have campuses of IBA, Suffa<br />
University and other top of the line international institutions of learning. The infrastructure development<br />
in CBD is going on with full vigour and speed while maintaining the highest engineering, construction and<br />
architectural standards as per the contemporary trends. The high quality befitting infrastructural facilities<br />
of CBC will fully support and augment the construction work of world renowned educational institutions<br />
of repute in CBD.<br />
Development Works in Other Sectors: Full fledged infrastructure development works in Sector-6 (A<br />
& B), Sector-9 (A & B), Sector-12 (A & B) are progressing in accordance with the development strategy<br />
with speed and quality. The entire area is abuzz with multifarious development activities. Contracts for<br />
Sectors-13 and 14 have been awarded and contractors have mobilized to the site to start the<br />
development works.<br />
VISITORS CENTER<br />
Miscellaneous Developments: The constructions of extended/redesigned work of <strong>DCK</strong> Entrance<br />
Gate comprising 18 Bays and a double tower which will be visible from distance on Super Highway has<br />
started. The construction of Campsite Mosque built beautifully as per the elegant structural design has<br />
been completed while finishing furnishing work of Masjid is in progress. The infrastructure development<br />
works of Healthcare District are fastly being completed as per the top of the line quality. The<br />
development work is being completed in a befitting manner where as construction work of Shaukat<br />
Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital, a new Campus of DOW Medical University, 500 Beds Teaching<br />
Hospital, a state-of-the-art Liver Transplant Centre, a Trauma Centre and campuses of other renowned<br />
medical setups of international standards will start soon. Check Dams have also been completed which<br />
will store rain water which will be recharged through underground water that will make the environment<br />
better.<br />

HORTICULTURE IN<br />

<strong>DCK</strong> is a sustainable and green project<br />
which is being developed with an<br />
aesthetic vision. To add to the greenery,<br />
attraction and beauty of the area<br />
horticulture component is tastefully being<br />
incorporated in <strong>DCK</strong>. Horticulture expert<br />
company ‘Plant and Plant’ is vigorously<br />
and imaginatively developing horticulture<br />
in the area. Beautiful flower beds are<br />
being developed at the Entrance Gate<br />
site, adjacent roundabout, medians, and<br />
walkways and along boulevards. This is<br />
in addition to the vigorous work being<br />
executed by versatile team of DHA<br />
Horticulture Directorate to add to the<br />
greenery and contribute to the<br />

UTILIZATION OF<br />
ACCUMULATED WATER<br />
With tube wells operating in the area, the underground permeable Aquifer layer of water is exhausted and underground<br />
water table goes down. Dams have been constructed in <strong>DCK</strong> where accumulated rain water is stored which goes down<br />
in the soil and in this way the Aquifer is refilled and recharged by the accumulated water thus the underground water<br />
level is maintained.<br />
SUKHAN NADI<br />
ROAD PACKAGE<br />
Sukhan Nadi Road is being built at the southern last edge/boundary of <strong>DCK</strong> past Sector-16 running parallel to Sukhan<br />
Nadi. The road goes to Goth Karim Dad, a village at the border of <strong>DCK</strong>. <strong>DCK</strong> Main Boulevard, originating from <strong>DCK</strong><br />
Entrance Gate in North, is speedily being completed till the southern end of <strong>DCK</strong> and the entire road package will be<br />
fully completed by the end of <strong>2016</strong>.<br />

Five Check Dams have been constructed in <strong>DCK</strong> for accumulation/storage of rain water and for constant recharging<br />

The fast-track development and utilities infrastructure placement at DHA City Karachi is in progress to make DHA City<br />
