We’re not violent even under persecution
— Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
THE World Head of
Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community, Fifth Khalifa
(Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat
Mirza Masroor Ahmad has
said that Ahmadi Muslims will
not take revenge or resort to
violence even in the face of
persecution.
He added that rather than
avenging any wrong done unto
him, Ahmadi Muslim will only
respond with peace as Islam
teaches.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor
Ahmad made this remark when
he received the newly
appointed United Kingdom
Secretary of State for
Transport, Rt. Hon. Chris
Grayling MP, who paid him a
courtesy visit last Friday at the
Baitul Futuh Mosque, South-
West London.
Also, accompanying MP
Grayling was Lord Tariq
Ahmad of Wimbledon, the
Parliamentarian Under
Secretary for State for
Transport.
During the meeting, Mr
Grayling had the opportunity
to discuss various matters with
Ahmad, including the future of
Britain, in light of the recent
EU referendum. Also,
discussed was the continued
threat of terrorism and
extremism, the ongoing
refugee crisis and various
other issues.
Muslims in Pakistan and in
certain other countries.
In his response, the World
leader of the Jama’at, Hazrat
Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“We, Ahmadi Muslims, do not
take revenge or resort to
violence in the face of the
persecution we face. Rather,
we respond only with peace as
this is what our religion of
Islam teaches us.”
Speaking about the future of
Britain and its food security,
His Holiness advised the
British Government to
increase investment in
agriculture and farming.
“The UK Government should
develop its own agriculture so
that it is less dependent on
other nations. This is
something that I am also
encouraging our own Ahmadi
community here in the UK.”
Regarding the charitable and
humanitarian activities of the
Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community, Ahmad said:
“The Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community has established
THE proprietor of Al-
Azhar International,
School, Lokoja, Kogi State,
one of the frontline Islamic
secondary schools in the
country, Dr Yakeen Habeeb,
has urged adherents of the
two dominant religions in
Nigeria - Muslims and non-
Muslims to focus on inter
religious dialogue between
Muslims and Christians
inorder to further
understand both religious
béliefs, aspirations and goals
many humanitarian projects
in different countries. For
example, we are providing
clean drinking water to people
living in the most remote parts
of Africa by either installing
new water pumps or
rehabilitating existing ones.
Each year we also raise
hundreds of thousands of
pounds for local charities here
in the UK.”
The Secretary of State also
offered his sympathies to
Ahmad about the fire at the
Baitul Futuh Mosque complex
in September and thanked him
for the continued positive
contribution of the
Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community to society.
Earlier, the Secretary of State
was taken on a tour of the
Mosque after he listened to the
Friday sermon delivered by
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.
Inter religious dialogue key to tolerance —Habeeb
•As Al-Azhar Int’l school holds graduation
for mankind.
This according to him, will
further strenghtened mutual
coexistence between the two
religions.
Dr Habeeb, Enonomist, a
retired Banker, and Deputy
Leader (Naib Amir North)
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat
Nigeria, made this known
during the graduation
cérémony of the school in
Lokoja, recently.
The highlights of the events
was a lively inter-religious
symposium, célébration of
the school achèvements and
Quranic graduation
ceremony.
It was a double joy for
parents of the graduating
students as they were also
named “Aaminul -Quran,
after also completing the Holy
Quran. This underscores the
uniqueness of the school as a
foremost leading Educational
center combining both
western and Islamic
education in a most
conducive and stimulating
environment, North central
of Nigeria.
Earlier, a novelty football
match and Islamic social
events added colour to the
programme as well as helped
to galvanise the fitness of the
students and instill the
necessary spirit of
sportmanship in them within
and outside the school.
