SOUTH FLORIDA ASSOCIATE YOUTH DIRECTOR
Manny Ojeda has been serving as the Illinois Conference youth
Director since January of 2011. His philosophy of youth ministry
lies in the principle that God has called all of us for a special purpose.
Manny's mission is to bring youth and young adults to recognize
their potential before God. Raised in the sunshine state
of Florida, Manny found his passion for youth ministry as others
invested in him for Jesus Christ. Pastor Manny is married to Clari
and they have two boys, Eliah and Josiah.

12-in-12 spiritual discipline
book now has its own website.
The 2010 12-in12 book introduced
young people and families to spiritual
disciplines as a means of developing
a closer relationship with God.
Readers were challenged to try 12 different spiritual
disciplines in 12 months. The book was very popular,
and the 4000 copies have been exhausted.
The YM Department has taken the contents, ideas
and activates and added new challenges and put
them into the new website.

The new website allows you to monitor your progress,
record your areas of growth and share comments
and ideas. The website can also send you
alerts and reminders so that you do not forget to
complete your challenges.
The web was built by Brandon Hurst, former UF student
and Adventist Campus Ministry volunteer.
Later versions will include:
the ability to share your accomplishments
through social media.
You’ll also be able to complete
challenges as a group.
You’ll be able to modify challenges
to meet your individual/group
needs.
You’ll be able to set yourself up as
a group administrator and monitor
your group’s progress with shared
challenges.
We are very excited about this new website and
the difference that it can make in the lives of
young people. We encourage you to register on
the site, and incorporate it in to your spiritual
growth plans.

Be prepared to provide specific descriptions of the incident(s) or the circumstances contributing to the risk of harm, including
who was involved, what occurred, when and where it occurred, why it happened, the extent of any injuries sustained, what the
victim(s) said happened, and any other pertinent information are very important. Information callers should have ready includes:
Name, date of birth (or approximate age), race, and gender, for all adults and children involved.
Addresses or another means to locate the subjects of the report, including current location.
Information regarding disabilities and/or limitations of the victims (especially for vulnerable adult victims).
Relationship of the alleged perpetrator to the child or adult victim(s).
Other relevant information that would expedite an investigation, such as directions to the victim (especially in rural areas) and potential
risks to the investigator, should be given to the Abuse Hotline Counselor.

It has been 5 years that we have been serving the community and we want to celebrate
it together with you as we look forward to another new year of service.
The goal of this event is to encourage, empower, and equip others to serve and
reach out to others in our different capacities! We will also be sharing the goals,
new programs, and initiatives starting this next new year of SALT, including the Kick
off of our Growth Groups and See SALT Newscast. We will also be having seminars
to equip on how to do outreach in your everyday life led by qualified, God fearing
individuals (medical missionary work, how to give a bible study, outreach on college
campus's, how to preach, etc).

The Youth Department now has a radio station, albeit an online radio station. Ken
Grant, former Pathfinder North Zone A Administrator, is leading a team of young
people in the production and broadcast of radio programs. He is looking for others
to join the team. The great thing is that the station is licensed to have five different
broadcast locations, and so you do not have to be in North Florida to get involved,
you can live anywhere.
