In response to the high volume of calls, requests & on site inquiries that we receive daily for travel information, “We have expanded our information area.” In the past we have had only ‘Idaho & local’ information available. Our explanation will allow us to have ‘travel information’ available covering the ‘Western States.’ Our reservation service will continue , we are very happy to assist you with reservations as your travels continue. A ‘Business Wall’ is in place. It will allow all business men/ women to display their business cards. This is a ‘free’ service extended to you from our expanded ‘Travelers Information Center’ to introduce our guests & travelers to you & the service you offer. Welcome! to our expanded ‘Travelers Information Center’. Arlen/ Mary, 208-436-3652. Ok we just received a letter from a local truck center now they will be billing through a Birmingham, Alabama called Interstate Billing Service. I called this company and they do billing for hundreds of company’s across the United States what is wrong with keeping jobs in Idaho they sure want us to shop at home. These businesses around here always want to preach shop at home but they in turn need to keep jobs at home. Feel free to use my name I used to shop at home maybe not much longer. Josie Regarding Henry: Today I met a man named Henry. I was out paying bills with my wife (UGH!) and while she was inside paying a bill at one business she dropped the money for another! We found out when we went to pay it and the money was gone. I’ve often wondered if this has happened before, but I’m de - nitely not crazy enough to ask her. Anyway she called the rst place and the secretary told her a man had found it and wanted to take it to the address himself instead of just leaving it there. When she explained this to me I thought, “Great, sure, the money is gone”. I went with her to my father-in-laws to explain she accidentally dropped the money for the bill, and while outside walking my dog Henry comes walking up with a huge smile on his face. To my relief I didn’t have to pay the bill! He told me what happened and I just couldn’t stop thanking him. Isn’t it nice that in a little town there are people willing to drive out of their way for people they don’t even know, with gas that’s still expensive, to take someone elses bill money to them so they don’t have to worry about getting behind. So thank you Henry Benavidez, you are truly a great man!!! P.S. I think I’ll leave the bill paying days to my wife! As the Chairman of the Mini-Cassia Chapter of Idaho for Wildlife, I was recently contacted by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and told about a heart wrenching situation. According to the IDFG, Howard Peck, a dedicated sportsman, high school teacher, father, and husband from the Pocatello area was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Howard was given 2 to 6 months to live. Jerome Hansen, Idaho Fish and Game Regional Supervisor, stated that the IDFG had located a landowner whom was willing to give some of their landowner tags to the Peck family so that Howard would be able to see his boys shoot their rst elk. Jerome Hansen stated that the Idaho Fish and Game did not have funding to pay for any of the additional costs such as fuel, food, hunting supplies, and etc. Jerome asked me if the Mini- Cassia Chapter of Idaho for Wildlife would be able to help in any way with this expense. I then sent out an email to our members, and some non-members, asking for suggestions on how we could raise the money to send Howard Peck and his boys on this hunting trip. Well, within four hours of putting out this email, I had my answer. This community, not one of them having ever met Howard Peck or his family, stepped up and raised enough money to pay for the entire amount. The next day when I called Jerome Hansen and told him that we had raised the entire amount, he told me that he was shocked but delighted. I told Jerome that the Mini-Cassia area is a great bunch of people with big hearts. I know that none of the people that contributed really care about getting recognition for their donations, but I think it’s important to let these people know just how much we truly appreciate them and their willingness to step up and help a fellow man and his family ful ll a dream of a lifetime. I hope that I don’t forget anyone! Jeff and Carey Leach Chuck and Leslie Ranstrom Rep. Fred Wood Sen. Dean Cameron Rep.
