1.COMMUNITY SERVICE
* It’s that time of year again. Community Service is adopting the 5 th grade class at our
neighborhood school, Toney Elementary. We are asking for your assistance in providing 75 jump /
flash drives for the students. Please contact Dorothy Reeves (404) 518-9932 or Harriette

* Clothes Closet – We are currently accepting gently used, clean clothing for the clothes closet.
We are in need of men’s clothing and children’s back to school clothes.

Summer Camp 2016 is planned with your kids in mind, a mix of educational fun loving activities

3. DEACONS
DSDA Deacons will be meeting next Sabbath immediately following church, downstairs in the
fellowship hall. Al deacons are expected to attend.
4. DISABILITY MINISTRY
One of the key challenges for a person with a disability is to be seen by the public, to be portrayed
in media outlets, and treated by health care professionals, as an individual with their own abilities,
not just stereotyped as a "disabled person”.
* Over a billion people, around 15% of the world's population, have some form of disability.
* Between 110 million and 190 million adults worldwide have significant difficulties in functioning.

6. JOSHUA GENERATION (JG)
The Annual Back 2 School Block Party will be held on Sunday, August 7th from 2PM-5PM.
The Decatur SDA ministries, led by JG, is collecting school supplies for this event. The school
supplies list is provided in the bulletin and at the table in the church lobby. Please see Taina
or a JG board member for more information.
7. JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS
Journey To Wholeness no longer meets monthly,but is a weekly telephone call. Anyone interested

9. PATHFINDER
Registration for the 2016 – 2017 opens August 7, 2016 during at the Back to School Block Party!
Registration is open to all youth between the ages of 10 – 17 (including those who turn 10 by Dec 31, 2016).

August 7, TIME CHANGE: 2 - 3 pm Habitat DeKalb Home Dedication Ceremony for Crystal
Phillips. The time has been pushed back, and now starts right before the Block Party. If you aren't signed up
to serve the 2-3 setup shift / are willing to get to the Block Party a little late, it would be great for us to stop by
