APC Intelligence
How will you be questioned at the Final Assessment?
“Jon Lever FRICS has trained over 5,000 RICS members to be APC Assessors”
FRICS
Final Assessment Questioning
Over the years I have trained over 5,000 RICS members to be APC assessors
and APC panel Chairs. Part of the training focuses on the issue of
competency based questioning:
• The assessors will provide candidates with clear, and concise questions
relating to their declared competency knowledge and experience.
• Candidates will be asked to explain their understanding, experience,
advice and actions and give opinions and generally explain how you would
undertake their business professionally.
• Candidates are advised to ensure they have plenty of competency
experience project examples for each of their declared competencies to
discuss their depth and breadth of experience with the assessors.
• Remember anything that is included in the Final Assessment Submission
documents could be used for the basis for a question at the final
assessment.
Dispelling the myths…
The assessors are not limited to what you have written in your submission
documents. They are limited to the depth and breadth of your declared
competencies as defined in the APC Pathway guides…
