Alberto M. de la Portilla is President and CEO of Integro Advisers, Inc.<br />

He has over 16 years experience in business, legal and regulatory risk<br />

mitigation with special emphasis in the last 7 years supporting financial<br />

institutions with due diligence evaluations of high risk customers,<br />

including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), from Latin America & the<br />

Caribbean, assessments of corresponding banking relationships,<br />

Suspicious Activity investigations, AML risk assessments, and training<br />

& mentoring of BSA personnel on adequate procedures and controls to<br />

reduce the risk of money laundering risks.<br />

Alberto recently served as Regional Managing Director for IPSA<br />

International, a risk mitigation and consulting firm specializing in antimoney<br />

laundering compliance and due diligence where he coordinated<br />

various AML look-back projects, KYC remediation projects, and<br />

Suspicious Activity investigations for national and local banks. Alberto<br />

also chaired the firm’s Due Diligence Practice with a focus on crossborder<br />

transactions in emerging markets, as well as, regulatorymandated<br />

due diligence for the financial services industry, and as a<br />

licensed investigator managed bank fraud investigations and other factfinding<br />

efforts on behalf of law firms and multi-nationals.<br />

Alberto began his career with Kroll, Inc. where he managed the region's<br />

investigative analyst team. In 1996, he relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil to<br />

assist with a variety of due diligence investigations on behalf of U.S.<br />

clients.<br />

Alberto is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners<br />

(ACFE), Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), and<br />

is active with the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA) and<br />

the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Global Business<br />

Development Committee.<br />

Alberto holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Florida<br />

International University.<br />
