A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent / Carer,
Thank you for considering our
academy for your child’s education
over the next 7 years. We recognise
what an honour, responsibility
and privilege it is to prepare our
students for their future.
“To be outstanding in everything that we do” - this is what we aspire
to become and this is what it means to be part of the Cordeaux
learning journey.
This is an exciting time to join the Cordeaux community.
Developments in teaching and learning, an extensive professional
development programme, high expectations and a high work ethic
means that the Academy is improving rapidly.
We believe that every student, regardless of ability, can and will
succeed. We develop in our students a sense of pride, high
expectations, ambition, resilience and confidence and we pride
ourselves in the care, support and guidance that we are able to offer.
The popularity of the Academy within the local community can
be illustrated by the over subscription of applications to join the
Academy and the increasing number of requests to transfer students
to the Academy in-year.
As an 11-18 Academy we are able to provide a curriculum offer
which allows students to achieve and positively progress at post-16
either within the Academy or as part of a curriculum offer within the
wider Louth learning community.
“Students
enjoy coming
to the
academy.”
This prospectus gives you a flavour of what Cordeaux Academy has
to offer but to fully appreciate the extent of our provision and to
experience the warm, friendly, purposeful atmosphere at Cordeaux
we welcome visits to the Academy during the working day where
you can see us in action. Should you wish to arrange a visit please
do not hesitate to contact the Academy on 01507 606555.
I am pleased and proud to be the Principal at Cordeaux Academy
and I look forward to you joining us and being part of our exciting
learning journey.
