DIDEM SAGLAM, GUEST ARTIST, started her professional
ballet instruction at the age of 9 in her native
Istanbul, Turkey. She went on to spend 4
years at the Istanbul University Conservatory of
Arts. Shortly after that, she was invited to be part
of the very demanding and challenging John Cranko School of
Dance in Stuttgart, Germany where she achieved numerous
recognitions including the opportunity to perform with the recognized
Stuttgart Ballet’s production of Romeo and Juliet as a
guest artist. Her repertoire includes Don Quixote, The Sleeping
Beauty (Blue Bird), Flames of Paris, Satanella, Fresken Ninfas,
Ocean and Pearls, Le Corsaire, and The Fairy Doll as well as
numerous contemporary and modern productions she performed
at the Artistic Dance Center and most recently with the
Naples Dance Conservatory as guest dancer and teacher.
JEIRON WONG, GUEST ARTIST, took aesthetics of
movement in college where he was introduced
to the essence of ballet, jazz, modern, and tap.
Wanting to continue his training, he did some
research and was recommended to Fort Bend
Academy of Dance. Soon after, he was asked to
dance in The Nutcracker with BalletForte as an
Arabian. As the years progressed, more roles such as Chinese
and Snow Prince were added to his repertoire. Resonating in his
memories are the haunting roles of the Wolf in Peter and the
Wolf, the Rat King in The Nutcracker, Von Rothbart in Swan
Lake, and Dr. Coppelius in Coppélia. Although Jeiron began
dancing later than most, he endeavors to learn a full gamut of
variations. He has attended several FBAD summer intensives as
well as the Craft of Choreography Conference in 2004 and
2007. He feels honored to have danced with the Royal Ballet in
their production of The Sleeping Beauty in 2007. He appeared
in BAHBT’s production of The Sleeping Beauty in 2014, as a
guest artist, and is happy to return for their production of Dracula
in 2016. Jeiron is grateful to be dancing with such talented
directors and dancers. In his free time works at ForbiddenLogic,
an affordable website solutions company, as a software developer.
