REWARDS
The school aims to promote high standards of behaviour,
self-discipline and learning through positive encouragement
and reward.
When your child does something well, the teacher will
recognise this by speaking to them in class, writing comments
on their work or using other parts of the school’s reward
system.
Rewards consist of:
• Signatures which are collected on the signature chart
• Certificates
• A postcard sent through the postal system
• Being nominated for a head teacher or deputy head
teacher’s award
• Achieving Beacon Student status
• End of term activities
• A rewards afternoon each half term
HOMEWORK
The homework timetable
helps to organise children’s
work and time. Homework
reminders are written into
the student’s planner to keep
a check on what needs to be
completed and for when.
We encourage pupils to do
their homework at the same
time each day in a quiet
place, free from distraction.
Walton Priory Middle
School is open until 5pm
from Monday to Friday
where the children are
welcome to use the Learning
Resource Centre, manned
with a member of staff to
assist.
Parents and carers are asked
to grant approval for their
child to stay behind by
writing a note in the planner
for the appropriate days.
