The fall season is a time of learning as we look back in reflection while looking for ways to advance our programs
before our next round of campers arrive. The summer season for our organization, marks twelve summers of continued
life-changing experiences for chronically and seriously ill children. As we look back on these monumental
years, we must not forget the memories made, the empowerment provided, and the
donors who made all of this possible.
Take a minute to think about your first interaction with a camper. How did you feel? What did you say? Who were
you with? These memories are important to remember, as you continue your journey with us. For some of you,
you’ve spent the last 12 summers dedicating yourself to Victory Junction, while others have joined our camp family
for the very first time. It is amazing to watch the moment you “get camp” and become your
CampSelf. It’s moments when you put a child’s fears, worries and/or struggles above your own, acting child-like
on the dance floor, and believing in the magic of camp so much that campers believe.
Looking back, we believe this is one of Victory Junction’s most memorable years. Camp will always continue to be
that same place you came that first week or weekend, however our camp is moving forward with growth and
change. With the direction of the board and year-round staff, the future is bright for the 85 acre camp located on
Fred Lineberry Road. Not only is our staff committed to supporting our campers, we have a passion to mentor,
lead, and support our Summer Staff and Volunteers. Your investment is the other part of the formula. Camp needs
committed individuals who are passionate about
working with children, support our vision, and are adaptable to the ever changing culture that must exist in order
to best serve our campers.
With immense opportunities and possibilities ahead, we look forward to working with you as the mission of Victory
Junction continues to impact over 10,000 children.
