PTA Family Photo Evening
Our first formal consultations for this year will
take place from Monday 24 - Thursday 27
October. Please note that school will finish for all
P1-P7 pupils at 1.10pm each day this week,
including Friday. Thank you for returning your
notes specifying your preferred days for
consultations. Invitations to the consultations will
be sent home on the 12th October. Nursery
Consultations will be on the 24 & 25 October.
ARK Programme
European Language Week
We wish to say a big thank you for all the effort
you put into making our European Languages
Week, and in particular, our Dress Up Day such a
success.
Thank you to all the P1 parents who supported
our ARK Programme this year, which highlighted
the curriculum targets for learning in P1. This year,
we focused on the physical and social
development of our pupils as well as
communication, language and mathematical
development.

The Family Photograph Night will take place on
Thursday 10 November (5-7pm). A £5 deposit
will be requested per session. A letter will be
issued before half term, outlining how you can
book yourself a slot.
Harvest Celebration
This year’s P3 Harvest Assemblies will be held on
Friday 14 October at 9.30am and 11.00am.
Our collection this year will go to support the
work of Storehouse North Down.

Wednesday 12 October.

Mr Gordon Dunne, MBE
At our first Board of Governors meeting in
September, the school governors took the
opportunity to celebrate the recent news that
Mr Gordon Dunne, a Rathmore governor and
local MLA has been recognised in the Queen’s
Honours List with a MBE for his service to his
local constituents. We wish him a safe journey to
London to receive his award and look forward to
working with him for many more years.
If you have any unwanted clothes you wish to
get rid of, the PTA have organised a Clothing
Collection on Friday 11 November with ‘Cash
for Clobber’. Bags will be issued the week before
half term.
Fund Matching
Last year, the PTA were able to collect £1000
due to fund matching programmes linked to the
jobs of some of our parents. If you work for a
company that ‘fund matches’ and would like to
support the PTA this year, we would love to hear
from you. Please leave your details with the
school office and our PTA link will contact you.
Online Purchases
If you are buying anything online, you could be
supporting the PTA at the same time. By
registering online at easyfundraising.org.uk, you
can help raise money by shopping with your
favourite retailers.
As a school we wish to thank all our Governors
for their hard work and enthusiasm in
championing our school and leading it with Mrs
Hardy.
After School Clubs
Our first term of After School Clubs are now in
full flow. We remind you that if your child is not
able to attend their club, that you inform the
teacher in charge of the activity. That way, we
can ensure that all children are present and
correct.
