Commencement
Ceremony
On Sunday, June 5, 2016, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
High School celebrated the graduation of the Class of
2016. The day began with the traditional Baccalaureate
Mass in the OLSH Chapel, concelebrated by Fr. Joe Freedy and
Fr. Dennis Klemash. The 97 graduates then processed to the
Angela Activities Center for the 82nd annual commencement
exercises, where they listened to speeches given by Class
President Thomas DeAngelis, Salutatorian Kristian Biega,
and Valedictorian Andrew Iezzi. After the distribution of the
diplomas by President Terry O’Rourke Donoghue, Principal
Tim Plocinik, Assistant Principal Mary Catherine Praskovich,
and Class Moderator Michael Miller, the graduates received
a blessing from the faculty and staff, led by Sr. Mary Francine
Horos ‘68.
Congratulations Class of 2016!
The OLSH Class of 2016 was offered a combined total of over
$7 million in scholarships and grants from a variety of colleges,
universities, and other organizations. They now head to a
prestigious list of colleges and universities as they pursue their
future goals.
