New Members

Week of Welcome
Every year towards the end of summer, Ocean
View hosts an orientation week for incoming
freshmen known as the Week of Welcome
(W.O.W. Week). The array of activities, from
attending the first rally to picking up textbooks
and even enjoying a dance, mark the approach of
a brand new school year for the 9th graders. With
the mindset of growing and developing our
robotics team, we wanted to introduce the
freshmen to our team as well! We even displayed
Del Toro, our previous robot, alongside last year?s
Esa Playa. Seeing their faces light up when they
saw Esa Playa shoot the boulders towards them
reminded us of when we were once freshmen
and we were once blown away by the millions of
possibilities we could contribute to this
wonderful team. We hope to have sparked an
inspiration in the minds of our incoming young
members and we are very gracious for
opportunities like these to develop our team!
