Speech by Ms SL Ng, Director of Inspiros School
Scene 1
Alice is in her classroom bored and dreams away… She follows a rabbit that drifts in out of
nowhere.
Scene 2
Alice is in a garden and meets the flowers and the Caterpillar after she has shrunk in size, along
the way when she drank a potion. He directs her to eat the mushroom to regain her size.
Scene 3
At a tea party she meets the Mad Hatter who is perpetually mad as he flits in and out with his
answers, frustrating Alice who is trying to make out the madness around her.
Scene 4
Stage Manager Jeanne Maniam
Jeanne teaches English and is also the Head of
English with an International school background.
In our production, she is the Stage Manager. She
is dedicated and passionate about teaching English
and Performing Arts. She is thankful to Ms Ng for
the opportunity to showcase our inaugural theatre
performance. She says Inspiros is on the right path to
be a “School with a Heart” in encouraging a holistic
approach in teaching our students.
Director & Script Writer Adel Lina Yap
Adel has had a multi-faceted involvement in
the performing arts. From classical training in
Bharatanatyam, to jazz to physical theatre and masks,
to performing and teaching the arts, to reaching out
and working with children from various marginalized
communities through the performing arts as well as
schools. Suffice to say, Adel has done it, is doing it
and will continue to do it – improvise dancer, actor,
director, choreographer, theatre and movement
workshop facilitator and talent coach.
Here she meets the Cheshire Cat who says it doesn’t matter what choices she makes.
Scene 5
Alice is now in Court where she meets the pompous Red Queen and takes a dislike to her.
A soldier is framed for stealing the Queen’s tarts. The jury has to decide on the verdict.
Finale
Alice wakes up from her wonderland adventure.
Music Director Anthonia Anna
Anthonia Anna has been working as Head of Music
in international schools teaching IGCSE Music for
over 10 years and tutoring piano and violin privately
for the past 17years. Learning these two instruments
from a young age gaining qualifications from ABRSM
and Trinity College of London, she had performed
in churches, weddings, memorials, mall events, plays
and productions in Malaysia, Perth and Korea, as
well as taking part in many competitions. Anna had
also organised and judged talent competitions and
produced musical productions for children.
