Students can begin by understanding the real color
wheel and the different types of color.
Primary Colors: Red, Yellow, and Blue
Secondary Colors: Orange, Green, Violet
Tertiary Color: Red/Orange; Red/Violet; Yellow/Orange;
Yellow/Green; Blue/Violet; Blue/Green.
Also the different color schemes:
Complementary: Colors that are opposite on the color
wheel. Such as, Red/Green; Blue/Orange; Yellow/Violet.
Split-Complements: Three colors that complement each
other such as, Red/Blue/Yellow; Orange/Violet/Green.

Next, students should draw the primary triangle with
the primary colors by the points, such as:

Students can use this color wheel to develop
their color choices for future assignments
whether it be painting, digital assignments, or
using colors in general.
