Charles and Ray Eames presented the designs of the Plastic Chair Group at the "Low Cost Furniture Design"<br />
competition held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 1950, they were the first industrially<br />
manufactured plastic chairs to be brought to market. With or without padding, the organically moulded shells<br />
offer a high level of comfort. The fabric cover colours and the seat shells can be mixed and matched with each<br />
other.<br />
