Iris van Herpen é conhecida pela
estética vanguardista de suas
coleções numa mistura de barroco
e futurismo, que ela costuma
apresentar durante a Semana
de Alta Costura de Paris.
Sua adoração pela tecnologia
de impressão 3D a colocou na
vanguarda da introdução dessa
tecnologia na moda. Para ela,
a tecnologia é a chave para
um país das maravilhas futuristas
com inúmeras possibilidades
criativas, onde a mistura de materiais
inovadores, impressão 3D
e artesanato, oferecem um potencial
muito maior para a moda
do que a tecnologia vestível.
Van Herpen se formou em 2006
como Designer de Moda na Artez
Institute of the Arts Arnhem e
trabalhou para a dupla de estilistas
Viktor & Rolf e o Alexander
McQueen antes de lançar sua
própria marca. Em 2011, a estilista
foi adicionada ao calendário
oficial de alta costura de Paris.
Mas desde o início de 2013, Van
Herpen, cujo estúdio está localizado
na cidade de Amsterdã,
tem focado suas energias na
construção de um negócio mais
voltado a moda Prêt-à-porter.

Van Herpen graduated in 2006 as
Fashion Design in Artez Institute of
the Arts Arnhem and worked for
the duo of designers Viktor & Rolf
and Alexander McQueen before
launching her own brand. In 2011

the official calendar of haute couture
in Paris. But since early 2013
, Van Herpen , whose studio is located
in Amsterdam, has focused
her energies on building a friendlier
