All-in-one measurement station<br />
The Leuze LSC 200 is a complete<br />
system or all-in-one measurement<br />
station.<br />
Depending on the application,<br />
sensors can be used for<br />
object measurement as well as for<br />
objection detection. The Leuze<br />

connected and evaluated.<br />
Essentially this means that<br />
the Leuze LSC 200 can also be<br />
expanded with sensors that<br />
perform identification tasks, such<br />
as bar code readers. Dimensions<br />
can be measured with, for<br />
example, three light curtains<br />
(length, width, height) using the<br />
optical throughbeam method.<br />
And if necessary, the width and<br />
height measurement can also be<br />
measured using scanning light<br />
section sensors or laser scanners.<br />
The length measurement can be<br />
optionally performed using an<br />
incremental transmitter.<br />
Depending on the sensors<br />
used and the properties of the<br />
objects that are to be measured,<br />
various filters can also be set in the<br />
evaluation software for optimising<br />
the measurement values.<br />
The adaptation of parameters,<br />
such as the offset adjustment<br />
when using light curtains, can be<br />
performed by means of a GUI.<br />
Leuze LSC 200 stations with<br />
Leuze CML 700i Series light<br />
curtains contain an integrated<br />
web visualisation system, adding<br />
even greater capability to this<br />
sensing solution. With this, the<br />
measurement values can be<br />
displayed and adjustment values<br />
set remotely via a standard Internet<br />
browser.<br />

Compact portable hygrometer for convenient spot checks<br />
The new MDM50 portable<br />
hygrometer quickly and<br />
simply takes spot checks of dew<br />
point or moisture content down<br />
to -50°C dew point.<br />
Because it has its own selfcontained<br />
sampling system,<br />
setting up the MDM50 involves<br />
simply connecting the hose to the<br />
sample point: there are no extra<br />
sample conditioning add-ons to<br />
purchase or to carry around.<br />
The integral sampling system<br />
allows for measurements of dew<br />
point to be made at pressure,<br />
up to 20 barg, with an option<br />
available to measure up to 300<br />
barg. The integrated filter removes<br />
particulates down to 0.3μm which<br />
provides 99.5% protection to the<br />
sensor.<br />
The<br />
fast-responding<br />
polymer moisture sensor of the<br />
MDM50 gives rapid dew-point<br />
measurements in compressed air –<br />
T95 to -35°C from ambient typically<br />
in less than 5 minutes.<br />
The sensing element is highly<br />
stable, resistant to contamination<br />
and, along with the robust and<br />
sturdy case, this means the<br />
hygrometer is well-suited to<br />
the often tough conditions in<br />
industrial applications.<br />
A long battery life is essential<br />
for making measurements in the<br />
field, especially in locations where<br />
there is limited access to charging<br />
points, so the MDM50 portable<br />
hygrometer has an operation<br />
time of 16 hours on one full<br />
charge. This means users have the<br />
confidence that they can work all<br />
day without having to stop taking<br />
measurements for charging.<br />
A universal charger is included<br />
with the unit and stored in its case,<br />
for when not in use.<br />
As well as dew point in<br />
compressed/instrument-air<br />
dryers, typical applications for<br />
the MDM50 include moisture<br />
measurements in medical gases,<br />
polymer chip and the output from<br />
refrigerated dryers.<br />
