7.3 Changing the chemical bottle Carefully unscrew the cap, remove the cap and metal straw assembly. Take the old bottle out of the cage and replace with a full bottle. Remove the cap from the new bottle, insert the metal straw and screw the cap to the bottle. 7.4 Lid opening It is normal for the underside of the lid to be covered in disinfected water droplets (if disinfectant system has been fitted) after each cycle. As the lid opens, this water may run onto the bezel and chamber seal which is normal and will not impair the operation of the machine. 7.5 Automatic drain flush DDC Dolphin macerators come enabled with an automatic drain flush system. This feature will operate 24 hours after the last cycle has been completed, and resets the timer after each cycle. 7.6 Cycle times DDC Dolphin Pulpmatic macerators are able to be individually tailored to suit the client’s working environment and can be configured to each individual location. Product Standard Cycle Time Minimum Cycle Time Maximum Cycle Time 120 Seconds 100 Seconds 160 Seconds Fixed at 95 Seconds For example: In a hospital ward it may be desirable to dispose of one or two items per cycle. The Pulpmatic Ultima can be configured to operate with a shorter cycle time. Alternatively, the cycle time can be extended if heavier cycle loads are more frequent. 7.7 Safety features Anti-pinch feature: If the lid is obstructed during the closing motion, sensors detect the obstruction and automatically reverse the motor and open the lid. Safety Locks: The lid is automatically locked during the machine cycle and will not be released until the cycle is complete. Overloading: If the machine is overloaded it may not clear the contents of the chamber in a single cycle. Running a second cycle should clear the chamber.
