9.3 Routine maintenance DDC Dolphin stipulates a mandatory six monthly machine maintenance check which should be performed by an approved DDC Dolphin representative. Both regular cleaning and maintenance routines are essential for the correct operation of this device. Failure to implement both cleaning and periodic maintenance will result in decreased efficiency, poor performance, and avoidable wear and tear. The DDC Dolphin periodic maintenance program covers all essential operational parts of the machine. 10. Fault codes Symptom Possible Cause Action F1– Flashing Blocked drain Or Overload of the chamber Turn OFF electrical supply for 30 seconds. Turn electrical power on, and activate foot cup Turn electrical supply OFF at the isolator when lid is fully open Has machine been overloaded and pulp remains inside the chamber? Unplug the machine or remove the fuse from the isolator then clear pulp/material from chamber – use appropriate PPE! Check drains have not blocked, indicated by a build-up of water in the chamber If necessary, have drains cleared F2– Flashing Cutting motor stopped Overloaded chamber Turn OFF electrical supply for 30 seconds. Turn electrical power on and activate foot cup Turn electrical supply OFF at the isolator when lid is fully open Has machine been overloaded and pulp remains in the cylinder Are there any non maceratable items in the chamber? Unplug the machine or remove the fuse from the isolator then clear pulp or non maceratable object from the chamber – use appropriate PPE! Try to turn the blade by hand, if it will not turn, if it is hard to turn or it feel rough to turn – call a DDC Dolphin engineer or support representative If the blade is smooth to turn; connect electrical supply and run an empty cycle to flush the machine and drain Copyright © 2016 DDC Dolphin Ltd.
