Number System<br />
Introduction : A collection of things (usually called numbers) together<br />
with operations on those numbers and the properties that the operations<br />
satisfy.<br />
Question : The product of 4 consecutive even numbers is always divisible<br />
by?<br />
Short Trick : Firstly read about all the numbers like prime number etc.<br />
Solution : The product of 4 consecutive even numbers is always divisible<br />
by,<br />
= ( 2 4 ) ∗ 4 !<br />
= 16 *24<br />
= 384
Number Series<br />
Introduction : Number series is a form of no. in a certain sequence where<br />
some number are mistakenly put into the series of numbers & some numbers<br />
are missing in that series.<br />
Question : 73205, 6655, 605,55 , ?<br />
Short Trick : Play with numbers. Know all the number series pattern<br />
Solution:<br />
5* 11 = 55 55*11= 605<br />
605*11=6655 6655*11= 73205
Profit & Loss<br />
Introduction : When S.P. is higher than the C.P. , it is termed as profit .<br />
When C.P. is higher than S.P. it is termed as Loss.<br />
Question : If selling price is doubled, the profit triples. Find the profit<br />
percent.<br />
Short Trick : Learn all the formulas before start solving questions.<br />
Solution :<br />
Let C.P. = X<br />
Let S.P. = Y<br />
Then 3(y-x) = (2y-x) => y=2x<br />
Profit = (y-x) = (2x-x) =x<br />
Profit % = (x\x)*100= 100%
Percentage<br />
Introduction: A percentage is a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of<br />
100. It is often denoted using the percent sign, "%"<br />
Question: If 20% of a = b, then b% of 20 is the same as<br />
Short Trick : 100 is a king in percentage so use 100 while solving<br />
Solution :<br />
20% of a = b => 20a/100 = b<br />
b% of 20 = (b/100)*20 =(20a/100)*(1/100)*20<br />
= > 4a/100 => 4% of a
