Originally from Illinois, Kate moved to New York City in<br />

1996 to pursue a life in theatre. She made her Broadway<br />

debut in 1997 as Scrooge’s fiancée, Emily, in A Christmas<br />

Carol at Madison Square Garden. She appeared<br />

in many productions, both Off-Broadway and regionally,<br />

and in 2009 she caught the writing bug. She wrote,<br />

performed, and produced her original one-woman show<br />
