Easy DIY Methods of Teeth
Whitening At Home

Many times our teeth lose their natural white color and become either
yellow or brown due to stains from dark colored liquids or smoking. This
results in discoloration and may even lead to dental issues. To prevent that
from happening, dentists suggest teeth whitening which is one of the most
common and popular cosmetic dental procedures. However, this is not a
onetime process and may require several sittings at the dentist’s which even
prove to be costly. In order to avoid that, there are many home remedies for
it which can be easily done by people without going to a dental clinic.

Whitening Toothpastes
Like normal toothpaste, there are also ones that are especially for
teeth whitening. They contain mild chemical and whitening agents
that aid in effective removal of stains from the teeth. However, these
kinds of toothpaste do not remove the stains completely; they only
tap on the surface and help lighten the shade. Some may also
contain hydrogen peroxide which is very effective helping to lighten
the color deep in your tooth.

Whitening Strips
Apart from toothpaste, there are also strips available for
the teeth which are extremely thin and colorless. They
are covered with a smooth layer of whitening gel which
usually contains peroxide. These strips are directly
applied on the teeth each day for thirty minutes. Initial
results may be slow but with time, they do get apparent.

Whitening Gels
These are also peroxide based and are supposed to be
applied directly to the teeth with the help of a
toothbrush. The process is similar to that of using
toothpaste. In this case, too, the results are slower in the
start but with continuous use, they start showing up.

Aluminum-free Baking Soda
Baking soda is known to be a really effective home remedy for
teeth whitening. The best way to use it is to mix it with your
regular toothpaste and form into a paste. Brush your teeth as
you normally would every day. The soda can be a little harsh to
the gums, therefore, it is advised to use it in small quantities.

Whitening Mouthwash
These are liquids for the mouth and teeth that also contain
hydrogen peroxide. They help freshen breath and aid in fighting
against dental plaque. In doing so, it prevents the occurrence of
stains on the teeth.

pple Cider Vinegar
This is one of the easiest to use and readily available products for
teeth whitening. Since it is high in acid content, it is advised to use it
once a week. Simply dip your toothbrush in the liquid and brush
your teeth for two minutes.
While there are various ways to curtail tooth discoloration, these are some of
the most convenient and less harmful ones than the proper procedures done
by dentists.
