10 Questions
with Brandon Goeringer
Brandon Goeringer is a
senior bowler at Sandburg
High School and is a key
How old were you when
you started bowling?
I was 5 years old when I
started at Centennial Lanes
in Tinley Park.
How often do you
practice bowling?
I would say a lot. I practice
with my team twice a week
and then mostly on Sundays,
for about three hours.
Who is your favorite
professional bowler?
Sean Rash, because he’s
got a good style.
What is the best advice
your coach has ever
given you?
He tells me to focus on the
game.
What’s the highest
score you have ever
gotten?
I bowled a 296 when I was
in junior high.
What is your favorite
after-school snack?
Coffee. I like the flavored
creamers. My favorite is hazelnut.
If you could trade places
with anyone for a day,
who would it be?
Without a doubt it would
have to be Sean Rash, because
he’s my favorite pro
bowler.
What are you most
excited about for this
season?
I’m looking forward to
state this year, and working
with my team and my coaches
this year.
What are your favorite
things to watch on
Netflix?
I watch a lot of TV shows.
I always a Godzilla fan. I like
Star Wars, and I’ve been really
into “Pokémon” lately.
Have you ever been to
a professional bowling
event? If so, what was
that like?
At the end of the school
year my sophomore year, I
was in the Pro-Am with the
pro bowlers. It was really
fun, and I was really excited
to be there.
