ABOUTUS<br />
Our team consists of highly talented and resourceful engineering students who<br />
took the initiative to enter our first competition in July 2015. We designed our car<br />
and produced a fully developed chassis within 8 months of conception, and placed<br />
6 th in our class.<br />
In 2016, we competed for the first time in the ‘Class 1’ competition. This involved<br />
designing and manufacturing a fully functional open-wheel race car around the<br />
Silverstone race circuit, against universities from across the world. Our efforts were<br />
rewarded by the Spirit of Formula Award which was offered to us by RaceTech<br />
Magazine.<br />
For this year’s completion, we are designing a new car, using all the feedback and<br />
experience we got from the competition last year. We are hoping to be able to pass<br />
all the scrutineering tests, which will allow us to race the car.<br />
We are aiming to establish a long lasting legacy of competitive entries from our<br />
university. We believe that this will provide one of the best opportunities for<br />
undergraduate students to gain invaluable experience and practical knowledge.
